  9. My 2011 rising stars growing up and hits the puppy class in a few weeks :-( Hes growing up too fast. Hes been going thru a crap stage where he was backing away from judges and being just naughty and this weekend after alot of hard work on sunday at spring fair he stood still and gaited like the little champ he is. Here are some pics from about a month ago. And very early in the thread I introduced Dumbledore the griffon and Harlow the PBGV who have both had an awesome start to their show careers. Especially dubledore taking out baby in show, baby in specialty and many other baby and minor in groups. Dumbie or Dumbie Rat as I like to call him Unfortuntely Harlow doesnt have any recent pics to share, might have to work on that!
  10. I LOVVVVE The pondengo's!!! Saw the Xolos from a distance! what group are they in?
  11. Well that was... interesting! Didnt like the additude of the lady that helped whelp the litter. To me she is exactly who SHOULDN'T be owning bull breeds. One of the only ones that I think went to a reasonable home was the lady with the two teenage sons, ok it didnt help her son the way she wanted it to but he was shown to be out there walking the dog and interacting with it.
  12. Id keep up the raw if you can, my pug goes so well on raw, and I feel bad because she gets next to nothing food wise but her condition at them moment is fantastic my brother was feeding her when I was away and then again when I was sick and he disagreed with how much I was feeding her so snuck her some extra and BAM big fat pug!!! I do the pointers on 90% raw the rest dry or dog roll, I call it their junk food because really I can't find a dry I'd feed 100% of they all seem crap in one way or other!
  13. Id LOVE to win... I'd take Purple or Green! Thems my colours!
  14. You're right! They'll be looking for an older puppy or young adult. Although I think they'll be more relaxed in the countryside with a larger yard and floorboard/tiles throughout the house (which they will have done before they get a dog). We had carpet unfortunately. Also they'll be retired so have more time to devote to the dog. Mindy's still doing desensitization injections. She's not on any systemic immunosuppressants at the moment which I am happy with. Thanks to everyone who has replied, it has definitely given my mum some interesting suggestions. We got out the Dog Books this morning and had a look at the of the breeds suggested. She liked: Brittany Smooth Collie Pointer (although she thinks they'll be too big) Small Labrador Pointers are probably slightly bigger than the idea size she has in her head but they tick everyone of her other boxes so I really think you should convince her to meet a few before ruling them out. So they are off to england? If they are and she decides to investigate pointers more tell her to check this site out http://www.ledgands.co.uk/
  15. http://www.ffirephotography.com/ That would be Fiona! Fantastic pictures!!!
  16. Unfortunately Im not sure these guys would fit too much grooming (more so speaking of the petits and grandes) and naughty not easily trained littler buggars! I think a pointer could def work but as gayle mentioned a bitch would be closer in the right weght range! if they are in England a Pointer will not be hard to come by - a medium size dog: maximum size would be Mindy size (25kg lab) but preferably in the 15-20 kg range Bitch would be closer to the right size, althou in the uk their type is alot more solidso 25kilos would be closer. - a wash and wear, short coat, no longer than the length of a lab (obviously shedding is not an issue lol). Wash and wear is exactly what they are, so easy! - easy to train and eager to please Def eager to please they love their people, as far as learning general house manners they are pretty good there are a few out there doing obedience they just arnt the sharpest tools in the shed! - friendly disposition, would prefer a more velcro type dog rather than an independent dog. Check and check! - energetic enough to do long all-day walks (up to 20 miles a day) at least several times a week but also willing to chill out at home when not walking, so not hyper all of the time. At home my dogs are lounge lizzards take them to the park, the beach, the river or the bush and they are go go go until I decide its time to go home!!! - A strong herding instinct or high prey drive would also not be suitable. They will hunt if allowed to but I wouldnt think it would be a huge issue?

  19. All in good time for the meeting hahaha. She would pull out all the stops. Milk watered down as a treat. The day she did that after being told not to I said to her (In a joking way to not upset her) when the dog has explosive poops all through your house you can clean it up! Needless to say milk is no longer on the menu. But you know its all about healthy bones I gave the dogs milk the other day...thinking it would be a good idea....ahhh nups Whitey threw up everywhere :-P
