  1. Nope, Id also refuse to clip a lab, did it once and never again as I saw how poorly his coat grew back it was terrible! Really I cant imagine you missing a tick if you are checking often enough
  2. This is a smidge old... but this is my pointer pack... Audrey, Konrad and kite!
  3. Johny (at mulbring/cessnock) is the BEST you will find I wouldnt take my dogs anywhere else! Hes being doing chiro for dogs and people for YEARS and the things he has done for our dogs is amazing. He always says if your dog is sore ect to come to him first and he will tell you wether you need to see a vet, hes not in it for the money and is very helpful! ETA... i dont have johnys number but I know someone who does.... will try and get back here and post it over the weekend if someone else doesnt already!
  4. 3 english pointers... Kite Konrad and audrey! One pug... called Goat annnnd one smelly silly mutsy-doodle...Sam!!!
  5. Agree. I'd rate the following as smooth coated family dog prospects that deserve to be known better: Pointers Whippets Rottweilers I agree... pointers are a great family breed and very few people know about them. Its annoying because they really are such a stella breed!!! And whippets really appeal to me. They are on the one day list! (quite high up actually)
  6. Pointer, (english pointer)! Fantastic family pets. They are a gundog and have a similar personality to labs and goldens and they arnt over the top. They can be abit naught as babies if bored but what breed isnt? They do shed... but not excessively, my pug sheds more!!!
  7. You sure can... Pretty sure I actually got mine from a horse shop!!!
  8. Ahhh ok, well personally I find chris stix to be quite a heavy product and try and avoid them and instead go with regular chalk and make sure I hair spray it on to try and avoid it coming off on my hands/clothes or the judges hands.
  9. Most aussie people I know (which is suprisingly quite a few) and have watched groom dont use chris stix, not sure why you would need to use them on his merle spots?or his tan? Did someone advise you to do it?
  10. Oh this makes me so sad, always loved the grotty rotty... rip big guy!!!
  11. Who knows what its crossed with and sure, its cute! Almost as cute as these guys... Difference being these guys are a gorgous purebreed ... if your looking for a cute poodle x looking dog you can't look past a Lagotto Romagnolo
  12. Well where I work im fairly sure we charge $16 a day for small dogs... We are realitively cheap thou i know alot of kennels are more like $18 a day. id be charging her $15 a day and insisting that like most kennels she pay in advance and you want to see her dogs vaccinations :-P just kidding on that bit but def inisist on payment before she takes off and most kennels (as far as I am aware) charge per day not per night
  13. Is he from the same breeder as Oberon? Puppies are fun to show!!! But your right...completely different!!
  14. Hes lovely pixiemeg, You going to show this littel fella as well... i guess he wont be a little fella for long hehe!
  15. Geeeze thats cold!!! No breed break down that I know of!
  16. I've just been there and decent spots are hard to come by pretty much everything ring side is gone at most rings!!! (except maybe gundogs) I'd expect that to be the case (some 3 hours after 12 noon) crazy hey! A friend secured our usual spots Well I was there at 11.30 waiting for the rampage... walked over to hounds to check on something at 12.30 and all gones!
  17. I've just been there and decent spots are hard to come by pretty much everything ring side is gone at most rings!!! (except maybe gundogs)
  18. We will be there... you will have plenty of time for socialising it will be three very long days! Yes spots will be hard to come by thats for sure!!! We were there at 11.30 thurs last year and there was atleast 100 people waiting for the 12 oclock mark to stake out their weekend property!!!!
  19. I can see a very interesting theme possibley something to do with runaways or great adventures Naughty girls making you worry so much. So glad they came home And what a good girl she was giving you a nice and even litter! Good luck with them.
  20. Greyhounds and Aussies are VERY different dogs! Someone suggested PBGV's (petit basset griffon vendeens) Id second that! Mum has them and they are wonderful hound dogs!
  21. I reckon my ONE pug sheds more than your three aussies and my three pointers put together! In all seriousness thou small/medium breeds I LOVE! Griffons, frenchies and pekes... not much exercising for pekes :D
  22. Pugs ARE great... but they shed more than you would beleive. I think as far as shedding goes they are at the top of the biggest shedders list!!!!!!! ETA... i think blue fairy is confused... pugs arnt easy to train but they are good trainers :-p!!! Mine have always had me wrapped around their little puppy paws the minute they walk thru the doors!
  23. You could look at pointers, they do tend to tick most of your boxes! Other than that I think Greyhound or Whippet sound like good choices!
  24. My mum also has a young Griffon and both his breeder and a few other griff breeders I know arnt keen on sweepies. Mum has never done sweeps with him! Each to their own, but giffs can be funny little guys and the smallest fright can be a set back and whilst I do agree that normally sweeps is a GREAT socialisation and training tool i think its abit different with the girffs!
