I have two breeds... 25-30kg pointers VS 5kg Griffons... I let them play when I am around but they are separate when no one is home. I will also let them socialise with friends dog IF I trust their dogs, so far Ive not had any issues and just this weekend gone my youngest, Trevor, made BFFs with an aussie shepherd

What ever you do don't get one from habonero hounds in qld.... I have two here broken withing 12 months and customer service was lacking!!!

Can anybody please point me in the direction of obedience classes in the hunter valley region. Prefer week night classes. I've got some training experience and my dogs know the basics but I want to work up to trailing and I show most weekends, hence looking for a week day class. Any help greatly appreciated.

The part of it I find most annoying is that, I am LUCKY to sell my pure bred, well raised, beautifully socialised, pointer babies for $800-$1000 but people think its okay to pay these stupid crazy prices for poorly bred, poorly socialised cross breed dogs... I'd call them mongrels but people always seem to find that word so offensive!!!! You get so many people say oh i wont get a purebreed I couldnt afford one... There ARE very affordable beautifully bred pure breeds out there if you look hard enough!!!

Pointers are paw users, they love to slap/smash anyone and everyone with their paws!!! They also love bitey face. The griffons love pretty much any sort of play as long as they are the boss!

Mine are 8 weeks nxt thursday and start leaving that saturday. I still have a lovely pet boy for sale and two girls Im running on even though that was NOT the plan :-/

Just alittle brag about my babies, they moved out of the whelping box and into a large crate on the weekend and this far toilet training is going so very well absolutely no poos and very few wees over night what a bunch of champs!!!!

Hahahahaha yes that most definitely counts!!! That corgi does not look impressed at all!!!

HAHAHA yes, she looks like shes giving you a very good talking to about exactly how much grooming she doesnt need LOL!!!

So I have a very cute litter of Pointers on the ground and they are 6 weeks tuesday. I gave them all their first bath yesterday cause they were filthy after spending their first week outside. I snapped this picture of Steve looking very cranky with me, funnily enough his dad gives me the same look when] he has baths. Anyone else got a cranky dog photo to share?

Its true, I very rarely if ever get anyone say to me when out and about with one of the kids "oh is that a pointer?" Good thing I dont breed often. Heres a few more pictures of my blobs! one is a group shot of them very tired after being outside all day, one is with their excellent baby sitter neville and the other is Steve being VERY VERY angry after his bath!

Mine are 5 weeks now.... All the boys and one girl are sold... havent had many hits on the other two girls....kind of disapointing. Pointers are a very under estimated breed.

Happy 3 weeks :-D Mine are having happy 2 weeks Fred's eyes are wide open everyone else is still peeking... Trying to decide when to start the mush foods.... They had a bad lot of the runs yesterday so off to the vet we went everyone seems okay now.

I can't wait til mine are like that ... Mine are 11 days now and so very fat my littlest is triple her both weight :-)

Mine are a week old today... they have all well and truely doubled their birth weights. And some are nearing 1kilo, BIG fatties!

How's everyone's babies going??? Mine have got sooooo fat and their pigment is coming in as well as their colour so no more little white rats :-D can't wait till they are up and about :-)

This is my big boy Spencer Tracey... Hes so mellow and looks like hes going to be alot like his daddy which makes me happy... Few teething issues here.... Audreys not much into toileting the pups so have had a few poo explosions but think shes getting it now because I tried to toilet a few of them this morning and seems they had already been done... Im assuming she was still just very tired... It was very stressful for her!

My litter is so similar to yours RV I have a little girl named Rita who's exactly half the size of her fat brothers and sisters but such a strong little fighter :-D little worried about how much milk Audrey has ATM and her boobies are abit warm but fingers crossed things are more settled tomorrow :-)

So after a traumatic night I am pleased to say Audrey has 6 beautiful little pointee children 3 boys 3girls.... So far touch wood all is going well except the fact I haven't slept in 36hrs now ... Yawn! We lost two little boys so her X-ray was right at 8-10

Haha yes well I'd much prefer 6 but pointers can and do have pretty big litters so should have expected about that I guess lol!!! I'll die if she has more than ten!!! It was a very very crowded X-ray thou! Was nice seeing the first few all lined up and ready to come.... I don't think they have dropped down enough yet so still think she will hold out til Friday... Hopefully!
