  1. I think it's incredible that you (by that I mean breeders in general) can see that quality at such an early stage. To me they all look like little black & brown blobs  Mind you, I'm the same with human babies, when people say things like it's got mum's nose, or dad's eyes I'm like what? where? how the hell can you see that !! And dammit Allerzeit, I'm liking the sound of orange even more now !! I like a bit of spunk :D
  2. Congratulations Nova :cheer: It's times like this I wish I could post in the Breeders thread.
  3. Oooh lovely, I will definitely pop by. I wonder if this is similar to the one that was held last year out at Rosehill racecourse?
  4. Another fan of the balloon shot :D Tess loved balloons as well, and did the whole confused "where did it go, mum make it come back look" when they busted  I reckon there's 10 in there. 9 for you and a spare for me :D
  5. So sorry to hear this news Perrin. Sending hugs to you and your family. Run free beautiful Georgia
  6. Your girl reminds me so much of my Tess. She was a wolfie x too, was on average 48 kgs. She was given her wings two months ago but it was a cancerous tumour that got her in the end. she had a lot of problems with her back legs which sounds similar to your girl - she couldn't walk far, had difficulty getting on the sofa or bed. The vet gave her a course of injections which helped immensely. While ever she was eating and wagging her tail I knew it wasn't time yet. I also told myself that when the pain time was equal to the good time it was time to think about that call. just continue what you are doing. So long as she's still happy in herself. You will know when it's time. Sending hugs. It's a stressful time, knowing it's coming but not knowing when, and not wanting to leave it too late.
  7. Too scrumptious for words I could never be a breeder, I'd want to keep them all :D
  8. I buy mine at the reject shop. $3 for a hundred. When Tess was alive I double bagged but with Flemmo I only need one per poop. If I run out I use plastic bags from the groceries.
  9. I had never even considered a rotti as a dog for me. After years of looking at these wonderful dogs I started doing some research, and you know what? They are the dog for me :D When Fleming departs (not for a few years yet I hope) I'll be putting my name on a waiting list
  10. I love how Fleming is just so happy to see me, regarldess of how long I've been gone for. Even if I've only been gone for 5 mins to the corner shop for milk, he is thrilled to see me. He'll spin in circles, and bounce up and down, then race off to bring me his favourite toy. He'll stick to my side like glue following me everyone, and as soon as I sit down he throws himself on the sofa next to me and worms and squirms on his back making rhrr rhrr noises. This goes on for about 10 minutes. Once he's decided he's expressed his joy at seeing me I can go about doing things without a limpet stuck to my legs. No matter how bad my day has been, I'll have a big cheesy grin on my face 10 minutes after I've walked in the door.
  11. Happy belated birthday Mac So glad to hear you had a wonderful day and were spoilt rotten by the hoomans (as you should be :D)
  12. Stan, you are a star. Happy gotcha day. HW has it only been 4 years? It seems like Stan has been around for ever. Big hugs to you and thank you for keeping us all updated with the chronicles of Sran. Many a day has been improved reading about his escapes :)
  13. So sorry to hear this PD. Hugs to you all
  14. Twice a day here - usually around 7am (maybe a bit later on weekends), and between 6 & 7 of an evening depending on when I get home from work. Any later than this and the cat particularly tells me she's starving & will die a slow and painful death if I don't feed her NOW
  15. When I am home during the day Fleming spends hours out in the garden under various shrubs & bushes. I'd say 99% of the time when he comes out to say hello he gives a big stretch and then shakes like you've described. I like korbin's theory of shaking off parasites :) As the behaviour is relatively new though I'd take him for a checkup for skin irritation. Have you put anything new in the garden in terms of mulch? Or new plants that could be causing a reaction?
  16. How scary for you Cassie, so glad to hear that your boy is OK. Hugs to you all.
  17. He has such gentle eyes Perse. OK you can see soomie madness in them, but also the gentle soul in him. A gorgeous boy
  18. Sending hugs yo you at the loss of your boy
  19. Lots of gentle hugs for you Perse. Dougie was certainly a character, and a good looking boy too. RIP Dougal - may the bunnies be bountiful.
  20. What a great outcome for everyone. Now, where are those pictures?
