  1. I use a walky dog http://walkydogusa.com/dog-biking-product.htm It prevents a, b and c :D
  2. Yeah, the vet suggested a special low calorie kibble, but we'll just cut back. We already have to get Chopper a special one to reduce gas leaks. Three bags of kibble would just take up too much room!
  3. He just turned 9. You wouldn't know it though, he's still got plenty of energy!
  4. OH brought Ivan to the vet today to get his vaccs. Last time he was at the vets was for that operation to have a lump removed in January. He was 31kgs then, already a very big Husky, but not fat. Now he's 34.5kgs :D He's been getting the same amount of exercise, same amount of food and there's no way his winter coat could weigh that much more. How in the name of God did he put on all that weight :D Myself and OH are gobsmacked. He doesn't look fat. The only possible change I can think of is he's been getting the occasional split cow bone. Is the marrow THAT fattening?
  5. Sumosmum I'm so so sorry. Big hugs to you and your daughter. Take care.
  6. Kaffy I'm so sorry. I can't begin to imagine how much you're hurting. Accidents happen, please don't beat yourself up.
  7. I didn't know it was risky, thanks for the heads up
  8. :) i'm so happy for you jen. a tired dog is a good dog! i think i'm free next sunday if you want to meet up
  9. I connect the camera to my mac with the USB cable.
  10. I've got the same with Chopper and Ivan. There doesn't even have to be a cat. Even passing a garden where they once saw a cat is enough to set them off I correct them and soldier on. I just accepted that they aren't good around cats. Not helpful to you, just letting you know you're not alone
  11. Nice photoshoppery Very subtle, but effective!
  12. We had a problem when we moved house. We were doing all the stuff we had done in the old house and we were still finding fleas. It turned out the neighbours garden was infested. OH offered to spray her lawn with Permoxin, it's been 100% better since. I know it's not your responsibility to do your neighbours garden, but it might help?
  13. Ivan and Angel on the left on really short leads, Chopper on the right with slightly more, but still by my side. If he's not in front he'll pull like a demon. If I give him half an inch more than the others he's happy I know he's manipulated me into getting his own way, but quite frankly, unless I suddenly bump into Cesar Milan some morning, I really don't care
  14. Chopper has had scabs that turn to bald patches before too. I think it's seasonal. Sorry, I'm not much help, I don't know what causes it.
  15. That's funny. I brought Chopper to a doggy chiropractor last night and while discussing his diet in relation to his joints she said that tuna is bad and can cause allergies. I'd never heard it before. Him and Angel both have dodgy skin and they eat fish about 4 or 5 times a week. I wonder if it's related.
  16. Too long grass - check Recently fed them beef - check How do you treat him Peibe? Would "beef" apply to minced and cow bones?
  17. Angel does this too. I'm not sure what sets her off, but I think she continues cause it gets uncomfortable and licking soothes it. We wash her paws with Pyohex and leave for 10 mins and apply Neocort twice a day. It generally clears up really fast if we catch her early enough. The first time when it got really bad, she needed anti biotics. If you find out the cause I'd love to know? Thanks
  18. I just tried the bulk uploader in PB and it's the same. I put 2 side by side. The techies there told me to upload at the highest res, but surely that would prevent me from posting my images on bulletin boards
  19. I'm on a mac. I plug the cable into the camera, it opens the camera software and I download all the images onto my hard drive. I go through them and select the ones I want to upload. Uploading directly to Photobucket rarely works for me so I downloaded Flock [after prompted to do so by PB when I got my Pro account] and bulk upload my images through there. http://www.flock.com/ Next time I'll try the bulk uploader inbuilt in Photobucket to see if there's a difference.
