  1. I think I need to go to the dog park sans dog and take pics of other dogs at various focal lengths for practice.
  2. So do you not use anything to protect your lens?
  3. I would've gotten wet! I was hesitant enough about taking my camera to the beach, standing in the water wasn't an option ;) I'll compromise and go early morning next time instead of late evening Not sure what the lens was at, don't think I zoomed at all. I'll check this eve.
  4. Busted It was on either auto or sunny, can't remember I'll email one later, thanks I did my edits in LR and then took a .png snapshot and converted it to a .jpg in PS. I'm afraid to ;) Busted again Damn her and her good-ness :p
  5. They're both cropped, they were landscape. How did you know?!!! ;) I'm shooting in jpeg. I'm at work, so I don't have the originals or the exif.
  6. I had a very quick visit to the beach yesterday evening for Chopper and Storm's birthday. I had my 70-300 IS lens, I think the ISO was 400 and the aperture was f8, shooting in AV mode with AI servo. These are the results [edited in LR], I'm a bit disappointed with the clarity of them. I was hoping for nice crisp pics with both dogs in focus [like Vickie's herding ones]. I don't mind these two, but I really want to nail the running ones. What am I doing wrong? Is it technique or equipment or both? ;)
  7. Where I train accepts Titre tests Hurstville All Breeds Dog Training Club in Peakhurst.
  8. Lure Coursing this Sunday is cancelled. It's too hot. Next fun day will be in the New Year.
  9. Yes! OK - going to watch them today...Been meaning to for a while. They've been sitting on my shelf for a couple of months. You'll notice that dodgy tracksuits are a must for Schutzhund work
  10. Looking at that really makes me want to put in some effort with Chops!
  11. Note to self: make friends with some oldies on my street for the sake of art
  12. Thanks for that, I'll try it out over the weekend. When choosing a picture to work off is there anything to look out for? Like will some work better than others?
  13. They look great, which tutorial did you use?
  14. Bet she gets away with heaps of naughtiness with a face like that
  15. They can still be company for each other in side by side runs ETA Eating the walls?!! WTF? How are her teeth coping?!
  16. She sounds like Chopper, I can fully empathise! Here's how we dealt with the problem: Worn out before we go to work, 30 min walk and 20 mins of fetch Left with a kong/bone/everlasting treatball or similar No attention for 15 mins before we leave and after we come home Kept in a run while we're out with very little to destroy, crated overnight Obedience classes once a week and some short training sessions during the week It took a while, and he's still a royal pain in the ass, but the destruction has been greatly minimised. Any pics of your dogs?
  17. I certainly did See here and here! Your pics from today are really gorgeous. It's inspired me to photograph something other than the dogs for a change
  18. I've been uploading screengrabs since Chezzyr suggested it in the USM thread. I'm changing too

  20. you need a [/img] at the end of the first one ETA not anymore you don't Big difference, eh?
  21. Nice pics JLC I already had a Flickr account, but the pics weren't great, so I took them all down and I'm starting again today. In this thread you can clearly see the difference between pics hosted on PB and pics hosted on Flickr.
