Aggressive Dogs And Group Obedience Classes
ruthless replied to ruthless's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Kelpie-i, I want to come and train at your club! Move to Sydney please -
You can get a 30 day trial for free. I think you can also buy a limited version of the program which is a lot cheaper than the full version. ETA Thanks for the instruction Ash ;)

Aggressive Dogs And Group Obedience Classes
ruthless replied to ruthless's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Thanks for your replies  I'm surprised there's not more. I wonder does that mean most people with aggressive dogs don't take them to obedience classes ... -
Very nice Have you used any noise reduction software on those?
-
I've never had a puppy. The youngest I got was Chopper at 9 months and he was an absolute terror for about 18 months! Like some others have posted, I'd be considering yourself very lucky Did you want a hypo, destroy everything in it's path dog? We prepared ourselves for the worst with Trixie as she was only 2, but she's a lazy bugger, it's great Edited to make more sense!

See that you are Sheesh :p [i only just twigged it myself ]

Well he's hardly hiding the fact, he's got his picture on his profile Welcome back FD!
-
Ok, maybe I still will It won't be a pig, I'm pretty sure. It may be a staffy piglet though! Nice pics everyone ;) I agree about the special mention for Cordy's idiot!

Noooooo! I was going to do catching some zzzz's Damn you! ;)

Does anyone have an aggressive dog that they take to group obedience classes? I have some questions If you're in Sydney, what club do you go to, when do they train and would you recommend it? How do the trainers address the issue to avoid any situations occurring in class? How big are the class sizes? Is there a club policy on aggressive dogs? [bandanas, vests, etc.] Have you found it helpful for your dogs aggression to be around other dogs in a controlled environment?

I've posted the first one in another thread already, but I'm adding it here too cause I feel like I'll never reach the end otherwise! V is for vicious! H is for hole R is for red bits! Who knew taking self portraits in low light with a shallow DOF was so hard?!! Especially when your tripod's a piece of shit!
-
That's funny She must have plenty of confidence
-
What age is she? Was she going somewhere in particular or did you make her pose for you?
-
Sooooo ... what d'you get for your birthday? Hope you have a great day and you get spoilt rotten x

Lea, I love "Walk", is it your daughter or just a random? Great colours! Rocco, particularly like that shot of the old lady, great processing, although probably not all that flattering! CM, L is great! I think you're doing really well, especially if you're stuck for time. I've heaps of free time at the moment and I still struggle to come up with the good!

Is it bad that I keep putting up pics of my dogs? I need to get out more! O is for Overenthusiastic! My handsome man looks really fugly F is for Flying Dog I might have more in a while, just need to go through them and see if there's any keepers!
-
Woops, sorry, it wasn't meant to be. I didn't think of that. I just meant I think my dogs would be good without me having to put in any work. I'd retract, but you've already quoted me!

In an ideal world Anything white and moving attracts interest from mine, but I don't think that's as a result of going to LC Ivan poohed on all three of his runs one day The shame!
-
I wish there were proper trials here. It'd be something I could do with my dogs to earn titles without actually having to put in any work Oh hang on, I just remembered, I hate bringing those screaming, whining, lunging idiots to Lure Coursing!
-
You saw a dolphin, lucky you! I love Foster It's not actually a reflection, it's taken through the car window and then rotated on the computer!
-
See what lens he's using? Could you rent one for the day?
-
Any links?

There's two types of burst, one has a H beside the icon on your LCD, it's the faster of the two. I'm not sure what to tell you about capturing them running towards you head on at 50kph I think you're setting yourself a very hard task there!

The Barf Diet That I Prepare For My Stafford..
ruthless replied to Aussie Stafford's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
HOW BLOODY DARE YOU..........there are NO vegetables in that diet! Read the book vegetables must be part of the diet. You're obviously don't care about your dogs! Au contraire! The young gamey children from the oval are raised on fresh vegies, so my dogs get their RDI from eating the contents of their stomach ;) -
Do they have to be running towards you? Can you not position yourself to the side? That's where I'd want to be so I could track them as I'm shooting [turn from the waist]. Your 50mm is your fastest lens. If you can get close enough I'd use that one. Also, just use the centre focus point. Continuous burst with the H, AI Servo. Fast shutter speeds, not too shallow DOF. Good luck! My dogs LOVE lure coursing too! ETA Woops, I'm not an expert and I answered anyway
