Pete Just Urinated On My Pants
ruthless replied to Pete.the.dog's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Angel does protest wees. If there's been a change in house rules or another member introduced to the pack she'll do a protest wee She hasn't done one for a long time. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that Pete did it on purpose. -
Aw, sorry Teebs You can borrow Angel anytime!

I only just saw this thread Great shots everyone I love sunset/rise photos.

I could put a pink lifejacket on Angel and recreate those scenarios!

Thanks He's very cute. Fingers crossed the BA and TT go well. -
Not yet. They may start it up in other states after the WDGs depending on interest in the sport.

And you're bringing him to Sydney to visit me, aren't you? -
Was that Joey? Not sure what the dog's name is. The black Kelpie x BC. The owner is American I think? At the risk of causing a domestic Doc was getting much longer jumps for you at the previous session. I'd like to continue with the training, but I live near the airport. Windsor and Castlereagh might be a bit far for us

Thanks Kirislin, that was AWESOME!!! One of the dogs on the Dock Dogs team is jumping 23ft too!
-
I'm interested! I just need to make sure Esme can swim first......... I'm the same with Angel, I'd love to try her, but I bet she'd sink like a stone!!
-
Great photos! I think any dog that likes to fetch and swim can do it No, not this time. Maybe they'll bring it in eventually. It'd be good to see an Amstaff doing it. They're going to keep training in Windsor after the games if anyone's interested in getting involved.

Some photos from yesterday are in the other thread now. Sorry FHRP, I couldn't post the pic of Polo, it's just too bad His back legs are sharp, but his head isn't. I'll email it to you if you PM me your address

The mock comp was held yesterday to pick the team for the World Dog Games. Chopper didn't make the team, but I wasn't in the slightest bit surprised or disappointed! He's had fun training for the last few weeks, but he wasn't jumping anywhere near as far as the bigger dogs and he was too big too be classed as a small dog. We got two free tickets to go to the games, which means we can actually enjoy our weekend and not have the whingy one hanging out of us for two days!! Apparently he's on the Dock Dogs team, but they were only allowed have 12 dogs for the games. He might get to perform at demos and the Royal if we keep it up. Here's a few pics from yesterday. Since I already had so many side on photos I decided to stand at the end of the pool. It was heaps harder to get a decent pic though. He doesn't like the water getting in his ears, so he always strains to keep his head out of the water when he jumps! People were encouraged to do tricks with their dogs on the dock before they jumped One for all the Doc fans! :D Maybe "dancing with dogs" would be Chopper's thing, he seems to have the moves!

Who the hell''s Noah? I meant Josh, sorry! Maybe because you have a Moses I thought you continued with the biblical theme!
-
He keeps peeing in the house!!! They warned us the steroids would make him thirsty and pee heaps, I didn't quite expect this though! He drank an entire 2ltr bowl when we went out for three hours last night. His cough/wheeze is still the same. He's still doing roundabouts for his breakfast too
-
Not sure exactly who, but Doc and Polo and Josh Noah did.

For sure! Happy days Awwww, you mean I have to wait??? Chopper is as handsome in the flesh as in his photos It was nice to meet you, if somewhat briefly I won't keep you too long! I've downloaded them off the card. The good one I thought I had of Polo is possibly not as good as I thought it was!! Nice to meet you both too! I was raging that I'd put my camera away when I was coming back from the toilets and I saw Polo and Flynn waiting for you. They were being so good and so cute with their ears pricked watching your every move!

How are you online?! I've more from today [the other ones are from last week], I might not get them up for another day or two though. Well done to everyone who made the team! Chopper didn't get picked, but that came as no surprise! We got two tickets to go to the games anyway, so that'll probably be more enjoyable than a weekend of having Chopper hanging out of us!

The 50mm f1.8 is a good lens if you want something a bit faster. Only about $130 I think. Or the 50mm f1.4, if you have a bit more to spend. It'd only really be long enough for dogs dock diving where you can stand right by the action. For agility you'd need something longer. It's great for portraits too though. Polo's owner is pretty handy with a camera, get her to give you some lessons

I shoot RAW, so everything's processed on the computer. I was in manual mode, ISO1600, f2, from 1/2000 – 1/3200sec. AI servo, only one centre focus point, burst mode. It was my second time shooting there. The first time there weren't many keepers as it was a really dark day. It was quite a bit brighter last week, so that helped. It's not a nice place to try and get a photo, that's for sure!!

LOVE the first two!! [sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear as they're your first ones ]
