it's just over 2 weeks until the Global Rally against Breed Specific Legislation on the 13th July. Please go along and show your support and help put an end to these unjust laws. Not because you're a bull breed lover, not even because you're a dog lover, but because you want the basic right to live in a safe community. Sometimes I take Jackson's bedding out of his crate to straighten it up and tuck it all back in and I find the tray is wet and so is the underside of his crate mat. I thought the phantom bed wetter [Angel!] was to blame, but we keep them closed when not in use so I was quite stumped. I'm 99% sure that Jackson isn't peeing in there. Could it be condensation build up? The room they're in does get condensation on the windows, but I've never noticed it on the crate trays before.

They're only about 5ft high. My friend's ASTxSBT climbs out of his one easily. Needs a roof!

Mdba 6th Annual Dog Choice Awards

Well done!!! Did the format change this year Julie? I nominated a couple of people but they never got a call from you to say they were nominated. Does that not happen any more? -
They were littermates

We have enough laws. They're not enforced. Plain and simple. Councils need more money to hire more ACOs to enforce the laws that already exist. I can't walk my dogs in the morning without having to cross the road at least once to avoid an off lead dog. Usually yappy ankle biters with little dog syndrome. I regularly report off lead dogs and council does nothing about it. Two working dogs up the road are constantly out and seriously injured my neighbour's cat, but council did nothing about it and they still walk their dogs off lead. How was that not a wake-up call for them?? They're not bogans. They're intelligent middle class homeowners with kids and their own business. A couple of weeks ago I rang to report two offlead Lab crosses in the park on our street. One had attacked our onlead AST before and I'd heard from lots of other people that they'd had trouble with it too. It was a weekend so I had to ring a switchboard and wait for a ranger to call me back. It was 2hrs later when they called me back and because I didn't know the exact address where they lived they couldn't do anything. The dogs were long gone. I don't know what the quick fix solution is, but enforcing leash laws and jacking up fines for dogs at large would be a bloody good start in my opinion.

Fair enough. I was just hoping you weren't going to say you work at a pound/shelter.
-
What industry do you work in? Not true. This is what the media has taught you to think because they don't report other attacks. Or if they do they don't name the breed.
-
If the media doesn't know the breed they should just call them dogs.
-
And the reason we even have BSL is because a Bull Terrier killed a child. Not an American Pit Bull Terrier. That's why misidentification is so damaging.
-
Doesn't matter what breed they are. They are dangerous dogs and should be dealt with accordingly,as should the owner. No one's disputing that, but in the bigger picture it matters a lot that the media are calling them the wrong breed.
-
Those poor men, how terrifying for them. Why do people find it so hard to contain their dogs?? No doubt there'll be a call for tougher laws now, when all we really need is our current ones enforced better :/

Absolutely gorgeous! Both of them :)

It's chestnut, not red!

My ears were burning  I'm pretty sure under the FAQs it says that all the leather we use is premium bridle leather. I could be wrong though, it's several years since I wrote it! If you have any concerns about the hardware feel free to email me. I wasn't trying to hide anything with trick photography. The buckles and d-rings are all stainless steel or solid brass. All our products have a ten year guarantee also. There are squillions more photos on our Facebook page > http://www.facebook.com/ruthlessleather

Keeping My Dog's Focus On Me - Not Other Dogs
ruthless replied to Lisey's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Well done!!! -
I gave Trixie hers and while I was looking at Jackson's to see if there was a paper cup the others all grabbed theirs and ran away. I never did find out if there was paper. I guess I will soon enough!

How long do you think I can get five dogs to sit there with petit fours in front of them?! I only took 8 photos and this was the first one. Jackson was struggling with the whole "sit and wait and they're not all for you" concept! That's right :) With this many rescue bull breeds in the house it's very important that they all know how to do what they're told!

Biteyface!! Great pics. I like Elli, she looks cheeky :)
