Rehoming High Drive Stafford
ruthless replied to Mavriksbt's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
He is desexed. She mentioned it elsewhere. -
Damn Thanks anyway.

PF do you know what breeder that Frenchie is from? It's :p

The Australian Centre for Photography is good, but it's in Paddington so it might be a bit of a hike for you?

Detroit was my favourite I elected to hold him for the two hour drive to the airport [while the other five were in a crate], but he wriggled the entire way so by the time we got there I was happy to pass him over to his new owner!

That's LJ, she's very cute, but she's far too vocal for my liking!

Thanks guys They're two different pups RnB Similar, but the top on has blue bits and the bottom one has fawn bits. A friend that I met through the breeder is taking the top one so I'll get to see lots of pics on FB as she grows, yay! He's already ordered a custom collar from us for when she's fully grown!

I got to indulge my obsession with Mischiefmaka Amstaffs last week when I trekked half-way across the country to photograph two litters of their puppies. I somehow managed not to come home with one too, despite everyone swearing that I would!
-
Are they the blue Staffys of the Dachshund world? I met one today for the first time. I'd never seen one before but the owner said they're the latest craze.

Nice try Astred! I think I would've been trying to steal at least one too Great pics. Tracey you get ALLLLLLL the cute foster puppies. I reckon these will be snapped up in no time!

Please Keep An Eye Out For Maddi's Show Set
ruthless replied to ruthless's topic in General Dog Discussion
It's not mine, we made it for someone and I'm just posting this on her behalf cause she's really upset and hopes to get it back. It was taken from a Ballarat show last weekend. -
I was replying to sheena's post. I replied to the OP on the first page and since they're inquiring about a collar for training I think mentioning that they're most effective when worn high is still relevant to them for when their dog is mature.

I use leather ones with a buckle and a triangular chain. Different kind of collar.

To get the best results from correction collars (martingales, prong collars, dominant dog collars, etc.) they should be high and snug on the dog's neck. Ours were fitted by Steve from K9 Pro. Sure they can be worn loose, but with my dogs that would be as useless as putting them in harnesses.

From : Scott & Fuller's "Genetics and the Social Behavior of the Dog" (P165) : Just putting this here out of interest and for anyone who might like to discuss. I know my experience is limited compared to a lot of people here, but that's how things roll in our house. Trixie and Angel have only ever had one tiny squabble that was easily broken up and there were no injuries. Chopper and Trixie on the other hand have had about four fight to the death type fights. They only run together when we're home so luckily we've always been here to pull them apart. All three are desexed. Thankfully we've been fight free for a while, but I don't trust them together even though they wrestle well and snuggle together. Chopper had a go at Ivan a few times too, but Ivan was incredibly dominant and not a fighter so they were mostly noise.

Only the webbing ones are fiddly. Leather ones with a buckle aren't. I don't find anything remotely fiddly about the Blackdog sighthound collars. :p I don't know those ones. The webbing ones we had before were a pain in the ass to loosen (to get over the head) and tighten (so as the collar was high and snug).

I use them on all our bull breeds. They only wear them on walks or outings though. They're naked at home.
