  2. K9 Kutz in Rosebery. Brad did such an amazing job on our old Husky.
  3. So sorry for your loss. RIP Sam
  4. I got my answer on FB. Thanks anyway. http://ingleburnvet.com.au/antihistamines.htm
  5. Thanks. I know some human antihistamines are ok, I'm just wondering if Clarityne is one of them.
  6. Angel rubbed her ass (back, above her tail) against the brick wall in her run so much yesterday that it bled. She's been itchy for a while. We've been using permoxin and she had a bath yesterday. I meant to get her some Phenergen as that's worked in the past. I keep forgetting though. Would it be ok to give her a Clarityne? (sp?!) I have a box here for my hayfever.
  7. We use this. Have you tried adding yoghurt to the sardines to make them more appealing?
  8. Very nice :D If you like dogs and graffiti you should check out Jamie for Cowbelly's work. (I can't post a link from my phone, sorry!)
  9. Chopper did the same to his as soon as I put it on him! This is great :D So gorgeous Helen! I bought those wings for Angel last year but she wasn't having a bar of them
  10. Ooh yeah, Angel's a big fan of Christmas dress ups! :D
  11. Thanks for the recommendations everyone I'll have to show this to Dave so he knows I don't take all the credit!
  12. MonElite has a litter due in about two weeks. She has an ad on the breed pages here: http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/puppies/dobermann.asp Or you can just email her: [email protected] She also has a FB page here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php...100001818343393
  13. I think the owner of the Pug may have posted about this incident when it happened. Does anyone else remember? All I remember is small dog attacked on a Sydney beach by two big dogs. Details of the injuries (if any) might be in that thread...
  14. *nods* Sorry labsrule, I'm sure it was frightening but it doesn't sound like the other dogs were intent on fighting your dog. They were bullying it. Which they absolutely shouldn't have been doing and you were within your rights to report it.
  15. Thanks, that looks similar, except with Angel it's not just the head and her head doesn't move as much as the dog in the clip. I will definitely follow up with the vet if it continues, but she hasn't had any more since so we'll just monitor her for now. Thanks for that info TM
  16. I've played out this scenario in my head. I'd like to think that I'd have spare leashes in my pocket and I could get them around the attacking dog's necks and hang them until they let go. In reality I don't think it would be an easy task for one person though. Putting your hands up near the bitey end is fairly stupid too so I guess you'd just have to hope there were people around and you could tell someone to pull one dog out by the back legs [like Aidan said] while you did the same with the other one. I like to just holler at off lead dogs to "get the f*** out of my way" before any fights can happen. It's been working for me so far...
  17. Ivan used to do it too when you asked if he wanted a walk or some chicken. Not quite the same amount as the pugs though!
  18. Oh look, there's another one with four Pugs!
  19. That sounds exactly the same Westiemum, thanks for the info. She hasn't had any more shaking incidents since, but I'll do what you suggested and just keep note of them and take her back to the vet if they become more frequent.
  20. About six months ago Angel was lying on the floor beside me and she started shaking. It lasted for under a minute. It happened another two times that night so I took her to the vet the next day. He said to keep an eye on her but it needed to be happening regularly for him to put her on medication. He took bloods and they came back fine. It didn't happen again until last week. She was lying on the dog bed and she did a big stretch, during which she shook but then she kept shaking. I made her stand up and walk around but she kept shaking for about a minute. Not just her body, her head too. Two more times that night it happened while she was lying on the sofa. Always short, under a minute. There was nothing again [that we saw] until this morning. I went to let them out of their crates. She stretched and it happened again. They're not violent fits or seizures. Her eyes are open the whole time, she just starts shaking all over. No harder than a shiver, but her head goes too. I don't know how worried to be about it. She seems completely normal the rest of the time. Still running around like a lunatic and causing trouble. Has anyone experienced this before??
  21. That happened me too, they said to just register again.
  22. I just got mine from Pets Providore. I get bored shopping around.
  23. I ordered one for the storm phobic Staffy [that's also anxious outside the house] and the fearful Amstaff. I'll report back
