  1. We got 4 bags of salmon Canidae when they were on special on Dogfood.com.au When we ran out I got a bag of Advance. I've noticed the dogs aren't doing as well and all have more eye gunk. Particularly Petey and because of his white face he has tear stains too. I put him back on Canidae and he's looking better after just a week. We feed tinned fish or raw meat or bones in conjunction with the dry. Energy levels seem the same.
  2. Yup! It's entertaining but if you watch his tv show and have read his books then you won't learn anything new.
  3. I think she had to scale back operations while she moved house. She's on here, her ID is issis.
  4. And I should say, Petey doesn't get free reign. Those things all happened when we weren't paying the usual amount of attention to his whereabouts. I dread to think how long the list would be if we didn't have dog runs, crates, baby gates, etc.
  5. Yeah, it's Petey. I know, it's hard to believe. Photos can be very deceptive! His list to date includes: chewed on deck chewed on wooden outdoor furniture destroyed kennel mat and crate mat chewed holes in office bed, living room bed and crate bed chewed edge off plush blanket on sofa stole and destroyed too many socks to mention [all my husbands, unfortunately he still hasn't learned not to leave them lying around!] ripped up astro turf "toilet" in the dog run chewed edges of plastic kennel chewed through printer cable and fan cable under office desk caught just in time with a slipper, a runner and a flip-flop We were given a cone when his leg was bandaged and I thought we wouldn't need it, but when I discovered that having a fresh bandage applied because he'd eaten the other one costs $20 he started wearing the cone in his crate at night. He doesn't have a bandage on his leg anymore but he still has to wear the cone to stop him from ripping up the bed. The thought of muzzling him outside of meal times has crossed my mind Our previous foster was bad too but at her new home where she gets plenty of training and one-on-one attention so she's not quite as bad. She has her destructive moments, but nothing like as bad as she was here. I'm hoping Petey will be the same.
  6. Yup, same here. Everlasting they are not! He has an antler already But he only gets it for short amounts of time so he doesn't wear his teeth down.
  7. Water bottles? Really? He'll decimate them and possibly eat them. I thought they'd be dangerous
  8. He's approx 7mos and had a pin put in his elbow about two months ago so he can't do any exercise that's too strenuous.
  9. Our foster pup has been adopted and goes on trial Saturday after next. He's realllllllly destructive. Hopefully in an environment where he's getting sufficient attention and stimulation he won't be as bad. The new owners have been suitably warned and they don't seem fazed. I'd love to compile a list of things to do with him and give him to prevent boredom. It's quite a few years since Chopper used to wreck everything. I know a lot of tricks, but I might have forgotten some. What worked for you?
  10. Little Stella the tornado of destruction I love that her new family find it an endearing quality! It's unlikely Tracy. I haven't taken many photos of Chopper this year. Get one of these calendars, Chopper and Bruno have a month each

  16. We need a calendar of these events so I don't hear about them too late!
  17. No, I mean community pet days type things. Somewhere I can bring a dog.
  18. Are there any pet friendly events on in Sydney next weekend?
  19. AFAIK in NSW the vet has to seize the dog and surrender it to the pound if the owner can't be found.
  20. Hahaha, you're nuts! Great pics though
  21. I'm sorry to hear about Ollie I agree with the others, when you're ready is when it's time. How exciting!!
