  1. Two separate requests. One family that already have a papered 3yo entire male Amstaff are looking to rescue a desexed female. Must be dog social and look pure. They want a dog that's already gone through the puppy naughtiness stage A friend of a friend is looking for a Kelpie. Not sure if sex or age is important or if crosses will be considered. If any rescuers in Sydney have anything suitable please post links below
  2. Shit (( Chopper went missing when we were in the US. I know how awful it feels to not be able to physically look for them. Luckily someone picked him up and brought him to the vet. I hope the same goes for Alvin. I've shared on FB xx
  3. Yikes, if he's offlead on the footpath and he gets a scare he could be under the wheels of a car in the blink of an eye. You owe it to him to keep him safe from harm. Besides that, it's illegal.
  4. ^ This Ours sometimes get it around this time of year. A good scrub in a medicated bath weekly and onto the anti-histamines generally sorts them out.
  5. Stayz says it has some availability, so hopefully it's not lying! I called but got voicemail. Now I wait... impatiently! That's a lovely spot but remember it is tick season so take precautions. Yup, for sure. Thanks!
  6. Ravyk can you add the recommendations from this thread pls? http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/231682-pet-friendly-holiday-home-nsw/
  7. Looks lovely! C5 would be an issue for us too. We'd need secure fencing or I couldn't relax. Especially if there are chickens nearby!
  8. Stayz says it has some availability, so hopefully it's not lying! I called but got voicemail. Now I wait... impatiently!
  9. Gah, Kerry misread my email and told me it was available. I got excited and then a few hours later she realised she'd made a mistake. Grumble
  10. Anywhere really! Within 8hrs drive from Sydney. Somewhere with dog friendly beach preferred.
  11. This is a long shot, but you never know... We were supposed to be house minding/pet sitting for some friends from this weekend for a week. Their plans have changed so they're not going away now and although they said we could come up anyway we think it might be a bit crowded. Does anyone know of any pet friendly rentals in NSW that are available from Fri 30/12 to Sun 8/1?
  12. Keeping a puppy at home until 12wks is madness. They need to be out experiencing the world during those critical weeks. Carry him if you're afraid of parvo.
  13. He's growing into a handsome young man, hey? I reckon he'll just keep getting better looking too. His owners are going to bring him to the same club we train at so I'll get to see him often and him and Bruno can have their man dates
  14. Petey went to his new home on Saturday before last It was supposed to start with a two week adoption trial, but they said from the outset that a trial wouldn't be necessary, they're confident that he's a keeper. His owner is from the US so she wanted some Christmas pics of him done to send to friends back home. Doesn't he look thrilled? I brought Bruno along because I wanted to do some Christmas photos of him too, but Petey was too much of a distraction for him so I just let them have a play instead!
  15. The only fights we've had here have been between a dog and a bitch (both sterilized). Why is that so alarming?? Ours were almost all started by resource guarding. The solution was relatively easy for us, feed separately, no toys, crate or put in dog runs when we're not home. They're never left together unsupervised. We do have to micro manage our pack, but it is what it is :/ I hope you can sort things out with your two.
  16. I left the green shopping bags on top of Petey's crate. I woke up in the morning to an awful racket. I came down and found that he'd tried to pull them through the bars to chew them up and somehow got his head stuck in one of the handles. DORK!!
  17. Naw, hugs to Loki. Hope he feels better soon x
  18. I wish I could justify wasting money on a DNA test to see if they're related!
  19. Wasn't she special......!!!! We are still talking about her and her complaint that her dog kept "shouting at her". . It was "swearing" and "yelling" when she was "cooking" his dinner.
  20. This made me LOL Bruno on the left, Scooby on the right. Mine makes Bruno's head look pointy, but it's just the angle.
  21. He's got a doppelganger!! This is Scooby. His owner saw Bruno on the cover of Urban Animal and got in touch to say she thinks they might be related. They're so similar, even down to the full drop ears and one white toe! Hopefully they can have a playdate and I can get some photos of them together
