  1. I have had 4 dogs x-rayed at NHVH and highly recommend them. Prices refer earlier post
  2. I had two Vizslas done about two months ago at North Hobart Vet Hospital and they were just over $400 each that includes elbows and the scoring from Wyburn. eta..they are very good
  3. you get some real little savages!! I can't stand by and let them be really rough so pick the offender up and tell them to 'play nicely', then put them back down away from the target, only to watch them go straight back to where they left off!!!
  4. I have 3 generations........ granma, daughter and granddaughter and they all cycle together. They are all ready to mate at around day 11, granma and daughter conceived on day 11 and grandaughter is hopefully 4 weeks pregnant and conceived on day 11. Granma and daughter had 8 babies each, so expecting 8 from Sienna eta I have an unrelated 3 year old girl who cycles with the girls too
  5. really loved reading this story, Dylan is a spunk and a very clever boy! Loved reading about Tango and Penny and how they are accepting this new kid, keep writing
  6. well the rump steak all red and juicy in the middle and seared on the outside was a hit and bbq chicken for tea.........I'll keep it up for a couple of days and hopefully her old apetite will return. If she continues to fuss I will get her some nutrigel
  7. good to know I'm not the only one having this problem, my other two bitches didn't go off their food at all when pregnant. We have offered Sienna everything as well, I'm defrosting some steak to half cook for her....and my oh is bringing home a bbq chicken tonight, should be enough to entice her
  8. Sienna is 4 weeks pregnant (hopefully) has always loved her food but for the past nearly two weeks she is being really fussy. She is eating but not as much as before, should I be worried? or is this normal?
  9. I see this behaviour as normal "dog" behaviour, they are not humans they are dogs. IMO breeding out dog characteristics is wrong. Not breeding with a DA or HA dog is right, there is a big difference IMO
  10. I agree with this, of course you do have your favourites before 7 weeks, and yes, they do change, but you get the occassional one that starts blossoming around this time, that you hadn't really "picked" earlier, but watching the natural movement at this time can tell you a lot, it is my favourite time, and I watch them like hawks.......and yes, I have changed my pic at this time
  11. As I hopefully have, and continue to, choose excellent homes for my babies no-one gets a discount or free puppy for being a good home, that should be a given before puppy is placed
  12. yes yes yes I know how the hormones affect the girls...have first hand experience
  13. after a nice dog friendly place to stay between Melb and Syd....we are travelling the Hume this time and only want one overnight stay, any suggestions?
  14. Good Luck Partipaws I'm in the same boat with a young import stud and a young girl both maidens......but looks promising atm :D
  15. well its day 24 or 25 and we are looking a little "pregnant" larger nipples etc...and very picky with the food, hungry but only for things she wants ie 2 chicken thighs for brekky but no "yukky" advance dry thankyou
  16. Just went on the Sydney Royal 2011 site to find a notice that says applications for the Sydney Royal Dog Show have now closed... whats going on?
  17. was speaking with some breeders today who are less than happy. One breeder had her kennels whereabouts shown on a google map and does not have her address on any sites, is seriously looking into where the information came from
  18. after looking into it and hearing breeders thoughts I am not going to worm my girl, very bad management on my part that I didn't do her before the mating.
  19. is it safe? she is (if pregnant) day 19. Is it safer to just not do it and wait until puppies are born?
  20. Thread hijack!!! but same question really...... I have a bitch who could be 19 days pregnant. She needs worming, my fault should have been done previous to mating. What do I do? leave her until babies are born or worm her now? Is Drontal considered dangerous to pregnant bitches? Don't want to risk her health or more importantly babies if there is a chance that the worming tablet could do harm
  21. just got told that to get a grading of "A" no single hip can be over 2.
  22. Wanting to know if there is a chart to tell you what scores are graded A, B, C etc For instance a friends dog scores just came back she got elbows 0:0 hips 2:2 this is graded Aus Grade 0 International Grade A My boys came back a few weeks ago elbows 0:0 hips 3:1 this is graded Aus Grade 1 Internatinal Grade B so I'm thinking the cut off for grade A must be 2:2 Wondered if there was AVA Hip Score chart to reflect what the different readings equal
  23. Great Results your puppies are lovely......I think Nikita is gorgeous!
