hmmm snakes yuck i wont have my pup till next year so im hoping to get as much exspoure to trinaing between now and then we are heading up to shepperton in a few weeks may have to drive the extra kms to albury for a day

thats great Rob i cant wait to start learning about field trials its something ive never done or even been too we are going to meet the parents of our future pup tomorrow which is exciting I'll have to come up to albury one weekend to watch you train

after sundays non stop three dogs barking for two hours i told hubby thast it for me for the rest of the year i have no reason to go to club and certainly dont need a headache from the stress of barking dogs and idiot andlers rofl So im going awol until my pup arrives next year and then i may not bother going back cept for the odd social cuppa

obviously good instruction is a key factor im so glad im not a newbe looking for somewhere to train my dog for me all i want is a club wiht good equipment that is happy to let me do my own thing that is actually hard to find People often ask me where to go to trian their dogs i never know what to say

looks like i will be joining the retrieving worl next march a bit of a wait but will be well worth it for the dog i am planning to get

this probabaly sounds harsh but often bitches reject pups for a good reason in their natural environment the pup would no have survived and two bitches have rejectd him coudl thee be something wrong with the pup socialisation wise you need to find a good litter of pups with a good matriarch and start the socialisatio process asap

absolutely i know of a couple of good clubs where tey are very well structured and run smoothly my club isnt what i would call a great club it suits me because im left alone to do what i wnt but really if your looking for good instruction and manners from members i'd reccomend heading down the highway to hastings last tme i was there they were very good organsised and sensible rexy goes there and loves t I actually dont reccomend my club fo newbies as the stress levels are too high for me its fine my dogs arent anywhere near all the carryingons and everyone knows to stay well out of my way when im training lol The dogs in question ar a big isuue and i know that when i get my new puppy we wont be going down there for a while until he/she is well neatrualised to stupidity rofl

feralpup i agree i can be quite rude if people let their dog just get in my dogs face

god f we were both on committee the club would have a heart attack eheh im in love with smokey but promise me he wont ever gve me a big sloppy kiss coz those are some mean jowls rofl

agreed and i have raised the issue several times and the barking dogs god i need earplugs its hard wehn the baddies are all committee though they dont listen arrrrrgggggghhhhhh maybe i should run for committeee hehe

my gsp used to mouth tennis balls never had a problem wiht a dummie or pigeon though

yup i have enough trouble dealing with terrain but i would think hat someone would warn me if there was anything to sinister ahead I cant see much in front of me which means my dog has to be strong and not need extra commands once he/she has left my side as i cannot give them if i cant see what is ahppening so we have to do a lot of ground work dunno about past novice yet

anyone remember the year their club rooms flooded to teh ceiling and they lost all their memorabilia a real shame

it states in the rules that if you cannot get a license due to a disability you can have a shooter so i will be pushing that last time i was told to just lie on the form for a gun license which i refused to do and so never pursued retrieving after that but oterwise i'll just go interstate however i dont think it will be an issue

i wont be handling can you imagine a blind person being allowed to shoot a gun with real bullets umm nah i have someone in mind to do that unless they allow me a shooter

no hurry havent got a dog yet was looking at a ten month old but decided no Im looking for a gsp but may be waiting a while am planning to do retrieving and field All your talk on here has got me fired up again lol i agree on grounds but they are there if you look i'll probabaly wait for vicki thomas to bred her boy to something i like or Prue said she may breed next year either wy it culd be a long wait
