Thankyou so much for your replies, the place does have a blow dryer and I make sure he is quite dry. I use a rake as a grooming tool as it seems to get alot of coat out as well. I will base it on monthly and see how he goes, he is fed a mixture of rmb, food/table scraps and g/q dry. He also likes some tin cat food or the odd egg as well.

We have a vet come to our dog club to do vaccinations & microchips, he charges less then half what practice vets do and the club uses it as a fundraiser. Some of our beginner members feel totally ripped off that they paid twice as much a month before.

My GSD has been an outside dog most of his life, he is a bit unsettled in the house. Now that I am not working I am home during the day and want him to spend more time inside. One thing I have noticed is his doggy smell, I have never really noticed it before. How often can I hydro bath him? And I will be using a drive through one as I don't have access to any other.
