Don't know about Melbourne, but I've visited a number of dogs in Sydney and always took along fresh meat/bones, packed individually, clearly labelled with the dogs' names, and left them in the frig ... there was no problem, and the kennel staff always seemed happy that i'd left them.. I'll PM you with the sort of things I did...

Does anyone have information on who might run show handling classes (puppy) in ACT? TIA

In fact, I believe it has been occasionally seen in dogs, but is not as frequently reported.. I wonder if the OP has also had a 12 month heartworm injection at the same time? I've seen quite large lumps from that and discontinued it in my own dogs..
