Yes, I've been told I'm abnormal due to owning multiple dogs and a cat. It is excessive if they aren't your hobby/passion/love, but for me, they're. "You have dogs?" "Yes" "How many?" "Three" "THREE?? why?? where do you keep them????"

I'd like for my new puppy to be shown, and to hopefully have fun doing it. Points would probably make me tear up as I'd be so pleased, but really as long as he sails around the ring with his head held high, tail raised, and radiates enthusiasm I'm happy.

Utopia.. I love it!! That is awesome Rav. What lucky pooches.

Yep. My Vizslas definitely could work their butts off. The drive to work, to find birds, to retrieve, to receive praise is so inherently strong. But as you said it is easier with the gundogs.

Do You Assume Your Dog Is An Invited Guest?
NZVizsla replied to slk's topic in General Dog Discussion
I just thought I'd add that children are more than welcome here, just that I need warning as my older boy is a nervous nelly with kids. Really, getting a visitor is a treat (for me) so I will be reasonable when needed. -
Do You Assume Your Dog Is An Invited Guest?

I'd be really peeved. We have similar rules, and the times that they've been ignored, something bad has happend (such as my kitten being munched and requiring immediete attention). My older boy is an unregistered service dog, so he comes most places - hospitals, drs etc have all given the ok. But even then I like to double-check. I think you'll have to tell her that next time it would be better if she came dog-less, and maybe state your reasons why? Otherwise could he be outside for the duration? (if there was shelter and water) -
When my highly adored cat was killed eight months ago I was absolutely destroyed. I'd dream of him every night, and he'd be crying in pain, and I'd be running around trying to find him, but whenever I did it was too late. I had this every night for 8 months. My psychiatrist said it is normal, but that it would only really go away when I accepted what had happend and bonded with another cat. I got Pan, my Siamese on the 8th month. And two weeks later I had this beautiful dream, that Aubrey was lying next to my head sleeping away (as he did) he then opened his eyes, gave me a loving look. And I woke up. I cried, then smiled. To me, he had said goobye and that he was okay. Maybe it was my brain, as I was starting to bond with my new cat? Who knows, but getting Pan really helped me come to accept what had happend.

Will do that now. Though I think I'll be preaching to the converted, as most of my friends are 'serious' dog people.

I get the kidney bean dance, with wooing and groaning ( ;) !) Huxley my older Vizsla HAS to have something in his mouth. In his absolute desperation he has run into a bedroom (not mine!) and stripped the bed of its flat sheet! He could have taken a blanket, or a pillow, but no.. flat sheet. My other two are more normal.

I think we have two on here. But Ashley has one called Tohko.

Hiya, I'm another of those 'annoying people' wanting a signature. Ideally I'd love two! One for Xmas and one for all the time. Huxley: Trudle: And Pan: Do whatever you like!! I know the pics aren't great, but if you can add some contrast to them or the background it would be great. Sincerely, Grateful Signature Asker

Hi PF! Your site is fantastic. I really appreciate your honesty. I am really intrigued with your Hungarian Vizsla crosses.. they look like they are crossed with a Weiner? What's the other breed? You mention breaking their front legs as babies to give them the deformed look. I hope it doesn't hurt?? But they are SO cute!! How much and when can I have one????? PLS advise.

I've always loved Rocco and little Ralphie. I think a calendar is a miiiiiiighty fine idea. I'd buy one.
