Two weeks ago I gave both my dogs a Nexguard primarily for tick prevention. I hadn't used this brand before and since then both my dogs are itching and scratching and its starting to really upset my cocker spaniel. Has anyone had any problems with this? Cant stand seeing them scratch and I have been putting frozen face-washers on the areas to help settle them down. If it doesn't seem to settle soon I'll head to the vet.

Misty looks beautiful! My Billy is the first cocker spaniel that I have had....got to say I he can also be hard work at times, but so worth it. What a pity that the breeder wasn't straight up with you, it could of so easily ended in heartache if you weren't so dedicated.

Frozen carrots are also great for puppies who are teething....

I am also interested in the promo codes that some sites have...I had a quote done for my dogs during the week and was asked if i had a promo code. I'm off to search the internet now to see if I can find them.

Mine are both inside and outside with a doggie door to come and go as they please. Occasionally I will lock them out if its a gorgeous day. They are usually well behaved...but I do have to stick the bin up high otherwise thats too much of a temptation.

Where have these reports come from? I havent heard anything about this, just the dog nappings and poisonings in Corio/Norlane.

T & S, so sorry for the pain you must be going through, such a difficult decision. This link may help those who are faced with the uncertainty of having to decide.

Hi dogmad, I am not too sure if it was AAPS that they went to....but I will suggest them. Thanks for the links and please keep them coming. I am sending them through, however the sense I was getting was that they were getting frustrated with either the dogs being gone, which happens, and the lack of communication when trying to make contact. Keep them coming please....that little Tibbie girl looks so sweet.

Hi everyone...Just on the the off chance someone might have a suggestion. I have a friend who has been looking for a small female dog to join their family. She is specifically looking for a rescue dog, one that is good with kids and is also gentle around their older golden retriever. Great home is assured, the mum works part time and they include their dogs as valued members of their family. They have tried local shelters with little success. I think they are leaning towards a swf/pug/CKCS....that type of dog, but open to all suggestions. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can pass on? Preferably within Melbourne or an hours drive or so from Geelong. Thanks :)

I often defrost in the microwave, have been doing so for years and years, but never to the point of it being warm or completely defrosted. I mainly defrost for the older dogs, I worry they have cavities and the cold will hurt their fragile little teethies.....

Baifra, I am so sorry that you have lost both your girls, so painful for you. In the pics they look like such happy and kind dogs, its obvious that they were adored and their memories will be cherished. Run free Rusty and Jess.
