  1. I would still leave it on - at that age, if they get hot they will move off the heat. You would be surprised when you get down on the floor that you can still feel air moving even in a draught free room. Sometimes it is the air coming under a closed door which can cause a draught.
  2. Thanks BD, yeah black would be hard to see in a pic, thanks anyway. I went to visit a friend and checked hers out - looks easy enough but has zips on all corners and in the middle back and front - not sure I want to put 6 zips in a cover. Velcro has worked ok. Hopefully the next one will be better, at least my first attempt fits, just might save it for home. And when you get used to making them, we can all put our orders ;)
  3. I think the catalogue information comes up when you get through to where you input your credit card details.
  4. The dogs ate em ;) No, it is very cute and would be lovely to cuddle. So cute with their lop ears.
  5. Well if you don't get any entries for one of the States, I'll take theirs :D you can even put the state on it too ;)
  6. Mine are sometimes slow to eat after a caesar as well. I normally make them a gruelly type meal of raw mince with a bit of warm water and finger feed a few mouthfuls. She may need to just be left with something in the box as suggested.
  7. You have to show us pics as we need proof Especially for you Clyde ;) O M G what a gorgeous bunch of cuddle kids. Now that would make a great advertising photo for BH ;)
  8. Also rather difficult to see her conformation as you have "A" framed her. If you draw an imaginary line (in the photo) up her legs from the ground, you will see that it forms an A. Her front legs need to placed directly under her & her head should not tilted back so far. Have a look at some of the show photos of goldies in the breed sum forum.
  9. Am sure there will be quite a few stalls there. There are the normal show stalls where you can get brushes, leads, beds, crates, shampoos etc and would think there will be other stalls there with different dog products available.
  10. When I was working on the Dogs NSW stand at the Royal, we were handing out flyers with the details and explaining the different events that would be on that day. A shame the opportunity was missed on the radio programme.
  11. Ooh very nice jackets. I am like fifi very volumous coat hanger
  12. Yes I will be at the working dog ring with my shelties
  13. So sorry for your loss Noisy. Always hard to lose those very special ones.
  14. So this vet is an orthopaedic specialist? I would be getting them to seek a 2nd opinion from a breeder vet as well.
  15. He is a lucky boy to have such a loving & caring owner. It is very hard to say goodbye but I think we are lucky that we get the chance to share our lives with them (even it is for a short time). I had to make the decision to give my girl her wings three years ago and I still miss her terribly. But I made her a promise that I would not keep her alive and in pain just so I would not have to part with her when her time came. We all know what you are going through
  16. Thanks djf - might pop over tomorrow and have a look again

    Rapigel

I use it on me but never on the dogs - it would make their coats an awful mess.
  18. I had a look at the BCF at Auburn but nothing on special there
  19. Each bitch can be so different when in whelp and once they have puppies - the blase bitch who loves everyone can turn into Cujo if anyone apart from owner comes near her pups whilst others don't really care. I don't think it would help some bitches to be taken from their homes near whelp date to a totally strange place to have puppies - enough stress around without adding more. But I could understand using such a service in the event of a dire emergency and I couldn't get any friends to help me out.
  20. What about having one made to the specifics that you want? OKS Engineering who make show trolleys also make cages for cars. Website is www.dogshowequipment.com
  21. I had a couple fly up from Adelaide to pick up their new puppy from me and then fly home the next day. They wanted to come up and meet me in person and meet the pup's family as well. They will be back in Sydney next week for a holiday and are dropping in to say hello to me and the dogs
  22. I have a four drawer filing cabinet in my laundry for all my dog gear. Two drawers have towels in them, one has leads & bits & pieces, one has bags & soft eskys. I was lucky to get it for free when we were moving offices at work. It fits neatly in the corner and you can close the drawers and all is nice & tidy - previously I had a four tiered set of shelves on wheels which just got so untidy.
  23. Great effort everyone Sorry I am not closer to help out but have made a donation.
  24. Oh noooo - can't die before General Specials
