Lol. I am no dog-groomer but I have dog fur everywhere! Even in the most unlikeliest place! And it irks me to no end. LoL.

Shayla knows how to wave, but she always need to come closer to me before she starts waving. Have to teach her to do it from a distance.
-
both of my dogs know how to do that. look very cute when they do it together!

I found this link through another doggy website and absolutely bawled my eyes out viewing it. This poem will surely touch the souls of doggy lovers. A tribute to all furkids who have gone to the rainbow bridge, and to their mommies and daddies who are missing them.. http://www.indigo.org/rainbowbridge_ver2.html

Thanks everyone for your tips on the dog perfumes, I'm actually currently using 'One with Nature: Rost Mist', and it smelled really wonderful and sweet on my dogs.. Will try the other brands when my little bottle runs out of its magic pink liquid!
-
my dogs do not stink nor do they smell horrid, they just smell doggy after a few days, which resulted in my house smelling doggy, from their walks and play-time. Their coat are perfectly fine, ears clean and teeth healthy.
-
You can get them at any pet stores, really, but I'm just curious what brands others are using, and because it is quite expensive (well, for me it is), I also wonder how many people are actually using it. It does make the dogs smell real good, lol. You would always want to hug them forever. Last about a day or 1.5 day the most once you sprayed on the dogs. Good investment I think.

Do any of you use dog perfumes on your doggies? I used to buy a bottle of doggie perfume from PP but it is very expensive for such a small bottle. I'm wondering if any of you use any other type to make your dogs smell nicer.. lol.. My dogs aren't that smelly but they do go doggy smell just after 2 days I bathed them.. and my house would smell all doggy.. Any tips?

Crates are the best thing ever! It makes toilet-training so much easier and also stops you from worrying about your dog's safety if it is left alone at home. I dont think crates are cruel. So far, my puppies go into their crate willingly. I read in a RSPCA dog book stating that if you train your dog using crate in a correct way, it will treat it as a sanctuary and a safety place. So, good luck in crate training! It really is worth it!

I find the bitter spray very useful.. My dogs hate them.

I am wondering myself too. I do not understand why even kaywoman mention it in this thread. Like I said, I am already grieving losing my dog and searching around for her frantically, why would anyone in the world mention the word that all dog owners dread?
-
It sure am, Labsmum. I do have lots of fun with the pups, although they can be quite a handful . But I am making sure I am treasuring their puppy-hood with them because they grow up so fast! I have some pics posted at the 'Photos, Photos, Photos' section but I am having trouble transfering new pics with my camera. Hopefully I will be able to post more pics!! They sure are very cute and cuddly.

We have booked our puppies for their classes at a local vet next week, each with different time so that we can personally bond with each one. That's why we have to pick the one that is near our home, so that it will be more convenient for us and that the pup at home wouldn't be left alone for too long. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will all turn well!

I cannot predict what she she will do, but I can hope for the best when there is nothing but hope and God.

I might add that Ginger loves strangers as much as she loves her owners. She just LOVES people. She is just not a shy dog. Her tail is always wagging and her face is always smiling. You can never hear her bark at strangers whether they walked by the house or as we are walking her on the street. Our friends who come to our house for the first time are strangers to her, will play rough games and wrestle with her around the house and Ginger very soon settled down with them, never once growled or barked at them, much more BITE them. I am not being defensive but that is who she is. I do not wish to think that she may be hurt or ended up in a cage, I think that someone have kept her for their own because she is such a lovely dog, but if she is and if there are strangers out there trying to handle her, I know she will still be calm and behaved well. She may be hurt and nervous, but she won't HURT people. I just know it. She is and always am. Everyone who met her will say that she loves people. She is the clingy type. To everybody.

Btw, kaywoman, IF Ginger really ends up in LDH, I will know and other people who are helping me to locate Ginger will know and I will take her right to where she belongs and she will never be PTS. NEVER. No matter how negative you can be, she will never ever be PTS because she will pass every test there is to pass. And I can be sure of that, because I have been to the LDH, and those dogs that are in the adoption pens, well, Ginger is just as beautiful and well-behaved as they are, and if not, WAY BETTER.
-
Labsmum, I really know what LDH really is like. But I really do not think my Ginger will be PTS. EVER. Everyone will fall in love with her. She is really a great dog and all dog lovers will love her. I can never go walking with her without people stopping to say how lovely she is and how beautiful she is. Every single day that is. And yes, I do still hate Kaywoman, that is a very strong word and for me that word suits her very well. HATEFUL. I have really try my very best to ignore her, as some people in this forum has advised me too, but when she said that about my Ginger, DOUBTING HER when she do not even know her? Its just too much.

You read and replied the LDH thread Melbourne Lost Dogs Homeon the rescue forum a little while ago. No doubt you would have read some of the posts on that thread. Try reading it again. Very few dogs actually make it to the adoption pens due after the LDH's assessment. I know very well how LDH is like, and that is why I have been calling them everyday, emailing them everyday and going there in person every week to see if Ginger is there. But what shocked me is why are you DOUBTING that Ginger will pass the test?? In my opinion, dogs that did not pass the test will be PTS. Do you even know Ginger? She is the friendliest dog ever. I have not ever heard her bark at strangers at all. Throughout the 1.5 years that I have had her, I only heard her bark a loud "woof" TWICE and that is because we left her in the garden alone. She's also very healthy, very pretty, housetrained and obedient. I just dont understand you, kaywoman. Here I am just getting all calmed down and pick myself again after your previous replies and then you hit me right again. BAM!!!! Why do you have to be even so negative?? Why are you even DOUBTING? I really am trying to ignore you, but how can I when you post such comments? PLEASE, I BEG YOU. GO AWAY. I HATE YOU. I REALLY DO. PLEASE DONT MAKE THINGS WORSE FOR ME. :D :D YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO ME NOW.

Vizsla, OH and I have enrolled our puppies at an evening class at a local vet (different with Ginger's) starting next week because we think it will be better to socialise and train each pup at a different time. Thus, going somewhere near to our home will be more convinient for us. Thank you all for your suggestions.
-
I'm sorry. But can someone please explain to me what this means? Does it mean that my dog would not pass the temp test? :D Why wouldn't she?
-
I am saying this for the LAST and FINAL time. We are still searching for Ginger and are always hoping to get her back to us. I'm just so tired of explaining myself over and over again and sometimes I'm even surprised with myself why am I even bothering replying to strangers the same answers repeatedly how much I love my dogs. :D Training will be more difficult than having 1 dog, I have to agree with that. But I must say that I am making very positive progress keeping both of them separated and content from each other for longer periods of time. So, no, I won't rehome one of them. I know that very much, but it only happens from a couple of people. So, I wouldn't let that deter me. I know you do and I would like to say thanks for your support in helping me to find Ginger. :D Labsmum, I live in Footscray/Maribyrnong, and I am allowed to have 3 dogs.

UPDATE: OH has been keeping one pup busy while I am with the other one keeping it busy as well. We did this for 10 minutes and then swap the puppies. And we have no problem at all! Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. It is definitely working. :D
-
Sorry. Double post.

shoemonster, It really is upseting when people ask questions like that, maybe they just don't get it. You're right, days will be like years when your pet is gone missing. And you hit the nail right in the head when you said "I wasn't functioning". That is how I felt and I do not wish that my worst enemy to feel the same way I did (and still am even a little less now because I have 2 pups to be content with). Thanks for the luck and I am definitely putting lotsa lotsa time on them!!

Thanks for the suggestions, people. I find them very helpful. Today, I tried to bring one in with the other one kept outside and I will keep the one inside very busy with training and lots of treats and a short game with a tennis ball. I try very hard to create bond with the one inside the house with me and I dont really have a problem with the one inside. He/She seems happy and content with the training/treats but the one outside will keep yelping and whining. I am afraid that the neighbours will start to complain. I will make kongs later for the one outside and hopefully will be seeing better results! But today's progress is definitely better than yesterday! Will keep this post updated.
