KumaAkita - Love the pics of Kuma 'supervising' and especially love the last pic of him. KTB - I hope Hoover gets to join in on a beginners' class, that would be fantastic for him! And woohoo that Blossom has been adopted, you did a great job with that vid! Oooh the monkey is still alive, I thought that Elbie would have killed it by now. Niques - Hehe, nothing better to wake up to than a wet nose in the face. Cute though! lilli_star - I'm sure the op will go well and be fine, but yes.. keeping them quiet is the hard part! For our mat we have a roll up travelling cushion bed thing.. if I forget then normally its just a towel I have in the car. Although I need to find something new for Mars as he doesn't really fit on his current mat. wuffles - That is one heck of a lot of fur! How many brushes was that!? We really need to buy Mars a shedding brush, he's losing a bit of fur now. Sorry we couldn't make it for the walk around the lake, Satch looks like he had heaps of fun in the water. ravenau1 - oooh, 6 more weeks to go now? Went and did a bit of shopping this afternoon, got Mars a new soccer ball which by now already has puncture marks on it. Also got them some chicken carcasses to chew on, took them ages though.. Mars wasn't really sure how to eat it, normally they only get chicken wings and necks. I cut Pepper's in half for her to make it easier. Went looking for other bones for them as Mars' back molars have a bit of gunk on them but unfortunately because I went late they didn't have much left. I was thinking lamb flaps, lamb necks, roo tail (although roo makes his do stinky farts..), lamb shanks and brisket bones.. any one got suggestions on great bones that will make Mars chew using his back molars and clean them more? He already has the deer antlers and loves chewing at it, but it isn't getting right up the back there for him.

Mars when he was around 3-4weeks.. At 8 weeks when we picked him up.. 3 months.. 4.5 months.. And now at 9.5 months

Love the video KTB. Hoover is so cute with his kangaroo hops and wombat wiggle bum! I shall still be keeping an eye on Miss Pepper just to make sure she isn't.. 'growing up'.... About to bombard with photos... This was Pepper in the car for most of the drive home.. and now she's snoozing under the computer desk. Mars with his deer antler.. and also just one of him with his oversize bat ears.. And just a few of my 2 playing with one another..

I REALLY need to put more time into my kiddies training! You guys are awesome!

Max#1 - Mars has a tiny bit of redness left but its not bothering him at all, the itching from where he's been shaved is bugging him the most. No more cone on anymore either, Pepper and Mars have destroyed it.. lucky Mars isn't licking anymore! Keeping Mars quiet.. hrm.. no such luck there. When I let the kiddies out for toilet breaks, I have to wait and watch them because if I don't they end up playing tag or decide to exercise themselves by doing laps of the garden like crazy hooligans! 2 more days! So he does exist I've known wuffles for much of this year and still haven't met the famous Satchmo! He's a sweet boy that Satchmo, I really do wish that he would tell my 2 off for covering him in kisses and pouncing all over his face, but he just won't.. he's just too nice! Nutro and Advance are the same size too! KTB - When we first got Mars we gave him a bone and off he trotted to have a good nibble at it, tried to walk over to him and see how he was going and got a nasty growl. Jeez was I shocked! I did the same thing with Mars as Niques did with James.. (I know, naughty naughty apparently) but I haven't heard a peep out of Mars since then. If I hadn't I would be worried that now as a 9.5month old pup he'd snap at me when he had food. I'll get flamed if I say this elsewhere.. but both mine are happy for us to pat them, add and touch their food while they are eating. OH and I have always made sure that we can do that since they were young. All the time same raz could be a stunt dog on tv or something, he is awesome...but i cant think of tricks to teach him, or how to teach them I'm sure that Mars could do so much more, he is a fast learner.. unfortunately for him he has a poor trainer that confuses him with her indecisive mind of what hand signals to use.

Don't you know that wet food is bad KA?!?!? It goes through their system quickly, gives them the runs, no nutritional value whatsoever etc etc blah blah blah.... Yaaaay for finding your clicker! I prefer when I find money on washing days.

Sorry, I can't remember what size the medium junior kibble is You can probably feel it in the bag though if you go to the shop. The medium adult kibble is quite large. We've got RC Medium Junior and they are smaller pieces, will put something next to it to compare. I'll post a pic when I get home ;)

Hoover is so photogenic, even in his 'spethal' photos! I have trouble with Pepper pics because sometimes it looks like she hasn't slept enough with dark circles around her eyes!

Mars is the picky one in our household.. we used to feed Eukanuba and you would have to force him to eat it. They both eat Royal Canin now and love it.

Poor Max's nose..! Funny though! KTB - Antler thief... I wish I had the camera with me downstairs before, we were watching TV and my 2 were playing tug-o-war.. killed a stuffed turtle in the process. When they were playing though, it looked very much like the slow motion of Simba and Scar fighting in the Lion King.. now I want to watch the Lion King!!

Watching that vid just put a massive smile on my face, its great to see Elbie having so much fun with Hoover! :D

Yay! Fantastic if he has forgotten about the stitches! Unfortunately for my boy he is still trying to lick at it and has started to try and scratch at it too.. so the cone is staying on. 7 more days!!

Mars will be VERY happy with that I'm sure, his stitches come out on Monday 25th. When is Ava going in for her op? Will have to organise something before then. Yes please! We'll show up at about 8.45am or so and I'll probably just sit with Hoover for a bit to get him use to the place and then whenever you showed up, we could see if they felt like playing in the off-lead section. Good luck with the stitching. Hope to see photos of the convalescents. I always feel very psychotic when I preemptively remove limbs/ears/tails etc. Hopefully it won't rain this Sunday!! I'll rock up at 9am so that most of the doggies are in class already. Stitching went well, Clifford the lion lost its ear, Henry the giraffe lost its antler but got to keep its hoof/hand and Louis the fly isn't nearly headless anymore! Sorry to hear about your day... Does he have more interest in toys and are you allowed to take them to class? Mars isn't a very food motivated dog so I really have to make sure he is rather hungry.. normally obedience is at night for us so that morning he gets half his normal amount of brekkie kibble and no dinner..sounds horrible but if I don't he won't find the food I have interesting, he has ignored treats which I have offered him before, I also make sure that I cook up very yummy treats for obedience like sausages/frankfurts and chicken for class now. When we were in Beginners' there were a couple of times when I was seriously close to tears.. (weak I know..) but it was just like I wasn't there at all, I tried blocking his view to other dogs, calling him, walking around in circles and away from the group, physically holding his head to get him to look at me.. but he was like a little kid that just wouldn't make eye contact no matter what I did. I didn't want to give up but really just wanted to leave I was so frustrated and upset. How unfortunate, hope he finds a home soon. What age BC are you looking for tigers12? Kylie has a few BCs at the moment, pics are on her FB page here: Border Collie Rescuers but she is in Newcastle.. Don't know if you know of this site: Sophie's Choices (Banjo's Choices) lists all the BCs currently in the pound or RSPCA.

Max#1 - Good to hear that he doesn't need to wear his cone anymore. When Mars was 6 months and we started taking him to obedience people couldn't work out whether he was a girl or boy, we always get the tilted head to see if he had dangly bits or not. :D lilli_star - Loved the photos of all the snow, there was so much of it!! I would love to take my pups to frolic in the snow one day.. but they would probably not even play in it and freak out though.. ravenau1 - ooooh, Dobermann puppy pics! Can't wait to see pics of when she grows up! 8 weeks and counting. Primedogs - Great that Deakin is doing well with obedience, sounds like he did very well with his off-lead heeling. And poor Watson.. some people just don't seem to hear. Just thought I would take a pic of my 2 monsters who are rather unhappy to be stuck inside on such a nice day.

Yup, Mars is shaved and he has rashes and scratches from being shaved too. I hope it settles for Marley soon, poor boy. *hugs* for him!

Possibly, or where the stiches are he could be itchy from it scabbing up or maybe even still a touch sore. I feel your pain, Mars is also hitting everything with his cone. 8 more days to go!!

Yay for Max!! How is Max doing? Does he need to wear his cone or is he being a good boy unlike my feral? Haha, yes.. I'm waiting but I don't think anything will happen. He's still being a big boy and cocking his leg to mark every wee puddle outside that Pepper has done. He wasn't really much of a brat with his manhood attached so there may not be any difference at all, only difference might be when he meets other dogs that are intact and he isn't anymore.. I did.. saw him last night and was so upset. :D I really hope he finds a home where he can settle down and be loved... so tempted to take him if I didn't already have my own 2 monsters to deal with..
