  1. 3rd and 6th of Feb! So far awayyyyyyyyyy... 3 more weeks-ish.. it'll be up in no time
  2. Hello Hello Everyone! It has been too long! Sorry for not posting anything for a while.. we moved house and didn't have any internet access then went away on holidays, but am now home and back up and running! Attempting to catch up on everything, but I don't have a hope I think.. Hope everyone has been well and that all the doggies have been also. Scrolled through and saw lots of pics of Miss Ava on her QLD trip, looks like she had heaps of fun! Hope all the doggies with sneezes, cut paws and sore legs are all getting better now. And to anyone that is living in QLD or Northern NSW or have friends and family there take care and stay dry and safe. OH has family in QLD and we called them last night to check on them and all seem well, our main concern is for his younger brother who lives in Ipswich. On other topics, Miss Pepper got desexed yesterday so was very very snoozy but seems to be back to normal today though and no cone for her. Anyway, I will keep up with the thread now and not get behind.. hopefully! :D Take care all! ETA: KumaAkita - BDOC starts again on the first week of February, Thursday 3rd or Sunday 6th.
  3. ;) What a *cough* LOVELY name... *cough cough cough choke*
  4. KTB.... oh my goodness your courtyard!!!! ETA: Sorry, this made me laugh so much when it happened. When Mars is playing with a toy, Pepper likes to pick up a toy and bounce around like a moron behind him (its actually rather cute and makes me giggle).. normally she grabs a toy, but sometimes she will pick up a towel or their bed, anything that is lying around at the time.. today she picked up one of my unmentionables.... Hope this pic is OK to post.... bit embarrassing for myself really!
  5. Thank you everyone! When OH found them the other night, he said that they seemed to know they were naughty for going walk-abouts because when they saw him.. they both put their head down and had their "eek, we're in trouble" look. The kiddies got to sleep on the bed with us after our Thursday night incident, OH normally doesn't allow this.. especially on a weeknight. KTB - Elbie was great after he settled, I didn't get the same attention from Elborino like your OH could. I have a handout for you guys as well, HH forgot to give them out after class.. and whats this about me being the teacher's pet? I blame Mars for acting so "normal" around HH. ravenau1 - What a scary experience for your breeder, very relieved that they are all safe though.. except for the poor little one that didn't make it. A big relief for you as well too! wuffles - Glad that they only thing your doggies got into was the coke, even though the clean up of it wouldn't have been fun. Mine would most likely pull everything off the shelves if they were left alone. Did you end up getting Crust pizza last night, maybe it was a subtle hint from them.. hehe. lilli_star - Yay for no destruction! A few more weeks then holidays, hope you get a good rest then. betsy - What a clever boy you have there! Only suckers stay outside when its raining! LOL. Hope it won't take too long to fix the door. Niques - Mars gets quite revved up when another dog stares at him, he'll just bark and bark and bark and carry on like a hooligan, its rather annoying and I have to take him away from them. Hrm... Mars seems to know when he has done something wrong, but he seems to only know I'm not impressed with him when I growl at him for something. Although, he has jumped up on the counter at home and eaten some of my spag bol which I had set aside for lunch, when I caught him.. I didn't even need to say a thing.. but he knew.. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!!
  6. Thanks Max#1 and lilli_star, I am quite glad that they are home safe and dry now. I am waiting for someone to jump in out of no where and say what a horrible owner I am.. which I admit yes I was at fault not checking the gate was secure and I didn't put their collars on before our little outing. Another thing I was worried about what that if someone found them, maybe they would just keep them...! lilli_star - Oh Ruby! The poor duck.. I have heard Tuffy toys are good, we have a couple but they are fairly new and the monsters haven't started playing tug-o-war with them yet. Hehe, good work with pulling the squeaker out. The dog toys my OH likes the most are either the ones without squeakers, or the ones with broken squeakers.
  7. lilli_star - Hope you're feeling better! The Ark - Dragon, Tally & Vivi are gorgeous!!! Well OH and I possibly had one of the biggest scares of our lives tonight. OH and I had to drop by OH bro's place to check on their house while he is away and feed the cat, thought we would take the fur-kids along for a ride... We picked up some dinner on the way, got inside, I let the pups into the backyard for a wee and we sat down to eat. About 5 mins later I thought they would be done so went to go let them in... but they weren't there!! I freaked. Bolted through the house and yelled to OH that the gate wasn't closed properly and the dogs were gone, we both got outside and I went one direction and he the other, no dogs in sight. Hopped in the car and drove around for what seemed like a lifetime, still no sight of the pups. OH hopped out and went to go check the school across the road and I kept driving around like a mad woman. Eventually after doing laps of the streets and driving back to where I dropped OH off, there he was walking back with Pepper in his arms and Mars trotting beside him. The school a few streets away were having some sort of after school thing on and the pups had decided to go visit and chow down on some pizza. I am so thankful that we found them and that we didn't find them as splat puppies... I always kept thinking before this how I would react if I lost one of them, I had pretty much run out of tears after losing family pets over the years.. but tonight I was so stressed out and scared and an absolute mess. The worst part was that they didn't have their collars on, so even if someone found them they wouldn't have been able to call us unless they got their microchipped scanned. They weren't at home so they probably wouldn't have found their way back. Well, that was my night.. since then I've been talking to the dogs non stop. If anyone saw me they would think I'm insane........
  8. Mine are actually pretty good with the rain, most areas are paved here so no grass.. maybe thats why. I actually prefer them not to trot out into the rain or else I have to wipe them down when they get back in!
  9. I voted last night, sure did take a while for me to decide though! Kuma & Kyojin both got votes from me!
  10. So very sorry to hear of this Kirty.. Run free Mustang and Hawkins.
  11. That fox tee is awesome! If only it came in a different shirt.. Haven't gotten any yet.. I am currently trying to decide which ones I like the most! I have 12 shirts and 1 hoodie in my cart at the moment!! Need to narrow it down, my budget is not allowing for $435 worth of shirts. LOL.
  12. My boy was desexed at 9 months and I haven't seen any change in him since then, he is now 11 months old.
  13. Agreed. If he's not bothered or even notices there are stitches then just leave it off. My boy had to have the cone on but that was only because he was licking and wouldn't stop. Once the wound had pretty much healed and scabbed up and Mars wasn't taking any interest in it, I took it off.
  14. Yeah I'm not a fan of the ones that are actually t-shirts (90% of them...) but have managed to pick all the ones which are V-neck or others which they call boat neck or something? I don't tend to wear the ones with the t-shirt neck line... feel a bit strangled... ETA: I just realised that Mars is 11 months old today.. he's almost a year old and all grown up. I did tell him today that he should really be in his teenager stage and sleeping in until 12pm instead of waking us up at 6am!
  15. Pepper was oblivious to what Hoover was doing. These things happen and its not like you're forcing or telling Hoover to do it, and as you said you guys intervene when you see it happening. Doggies will be doggies and sometimes they just do that. :D We are also doing laundry but we'll be using the dryer today instead of the clothes horse. As mentioned before, this house doesn't even have an outdoor clothesline. Weirdly enough, OH thought it was strange that people here use their outdoor lines, apparently in Canada it's more normal to use the dryer!! I said that growing up, we always hung up the clothes outside and didn't even own a dryer. Then when we did get a dryer, it was only for wet days or clothes we need to dry urgently. Anyway, the doggies show no interest in pulling the clothes off the indoor clothes horse and having no clothes drying outside removes temptation from them ... I miss having a dryer... just got one last week for the new house, but have to wait until we move. Until then, we have to rely on the clothes horse here and wait for everything to dry naturally. KTB - Awwww.. look at little Hoover all tucked in, the work of your OH I assume...? Niques - Pics of James are great, looks like he had heaps of fun with the other doggy. ravenau1 - Only 12 more days? Yay! I'm sure it has seemed so much longer though, will be counting down the days until we are bombarded with photos of the little girl! So I was looking on threadless.com today and wanted to get some shirts, have added a whole heap to the shopping cart.. but have I bought them yet.. ofcourse not. I keep thinking to myself If I need them or not.. now if I were looking at dog items such as treats, toys etc.. everything would have already been paid for and I wouldn't even think twice about it!
  16. Love the photos and the vids are awesome! Primedogs, glad that the breakdown wasn't too far from home.. but still, it sucks! Good luck with the 'stand' lilli_star, we haven't done much with ours on that.. but most of the time they just want to sit when I ask them to stand. LOL. Hope that soccer ball lasts, we currently live behind a child care and the kids always throw random toys over. We've had 2 inflatable balls comes over the fence and ofcourse when I get home, there are just pieces of plastic everywhere. A bit of a wet day today, bet all the Sunday dog training Canberrans are happy assessment was on Thursday and not today! I think I might just lounge around today.. although I do have a tonne of washing to do! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!! Stay dry!
  17. Thanks for an awesome day guys! Kids are stuffed and so am I! (Infact, I just woke up from a short snooze... ) Kudos to wuffles and KumaAkita for getting everything together.
  18. Good Morning! Hope the weather stays as it is!! Its looking fiiiiiiine! Birds are chirping, sun is shining! I haven't wrapped my presents yet, had better get a wriggle on.. when I crawl out of bed that is.. Oooooh KTB, those bikkies are so cute!!
  19. Ooooh, I hope that tomorrow stays storm/rain free. I normally rely on BOM, but I'm liking the forecast prediction on AccuWeather at the moment!
  20. Ah yes the lawn.. I have already dedicated that job to my OH when we eventually have a patch of grass. His first job when we move in is for him to get rid of all the Paterson's Curse from the backyard. Not long now wuffles!! You've got all the main things sorted.
  21. A husband? What use would that be? Your hubby seems to be a good gardener.
  22. Forecast for Saturday Cloud increasing. Isolated showers in the afternoon and evening. Light winds tending northwesterly up to 35 km/h during the morning. City Centre Shower or two developing. Min14 Max27 Weather is sounding OK so far..
  23. 10% of the house value..!?!? Our garden will be a patch of dirt for a long long while.. we haven't even gotten anything organised for the curtins/blinds yet. The plan is to just have fabric until we do........ classy.
