  1. Niques - Grumpy blinded James is gorgeous! Made me giggle! This thread always makes me laugh, OH thinks I'm insane!! KTB - Love the vid KTB and great music to go with it! :D Hehehe, I love how Elbie can't decide what to play with. Oh. You remember. Hehe, yep! My own fault for wearing thongs... Woo hoo! I should really go to bed... I have the camera charged and the sd card empty. Everything is packed for Mr. Mars and I, I shall report back tomorrow night if I have any energy left..!
  2. If you're searching for dog friendly places, try looking on 'stayz' their website is http://www.stayz.com.au Lots of people on there rent out their property for a holiday and are dog friendly, we found a nice place at the coast near the beach to take the kids. :p Haha! Oh wait.. I remember he found my toes last time! Pepper likes to lick at toes, not as much as Elbie though! And like most dogs.. likes to lick legs after a shower. Luckily Mars is an abnormal dog and does none of these things! LOL
  3. Sticky tape loops, hrm.. I shall have to give this a try! Fake shot? Who said that!? *cough cough*
  4. Yep, the look on Mr Squeak's face says it all. Poor Mr Squeak..
  5. I don't know why but I just couldn't stop laughing at this photo.. Oh oh, yeh.. the peg.. I saw it on this! http://www.youtube.com/user/TerraNik?featu...100/1XdnZl54Qt4 KTB - I saw your pic and was like.. "its the wall, wait.. no way, its the floor, its the wall, its the floor. That darn clock like thing!!
  6. We had the same problem, Mars didn't care that there was sticky tape on his muzzle. Could try using a peg, but I can't seem to find any.. and where to put the peg as not to hurt the poor boy... hehehe, gorgeous Kuma. Love this pic :D
  7. Cerenia is a tablet for dogs to prevent motion sickness, we've got it for our boy for when we travel long distances and its great. One morning we didn't feed Mars anything he managed to throw up poop (which he must have eaten that morning) and water.. nice and runny.. so we gave the tablets a go and presto, had him in the car for a 3 hour car ride to the coast which he had previously been on and sick from, but this time.. no vomit!
  8. Bumpity Bump Bump! :D Gave the kiddies a bath on the weekend, much to their disgust. Their Daddy said because they are inside dogs they have to be clean and not smelly and be bathed when he sees fit. Luckily he actually helps. ;) They both tolerate having a bath; Mars used to whine a lot when he got one and now he just stands there until he's clean. Pepper has always just stood still and hid her head pretending that nothing was happening and it was all a dream. Getting a brush on the other hand is a different story.. Mars used to hate it, I think maybe it was the brush hurtin him, now he's quite content to be brushed but only if he's on the bed and lying down chillaxing.. if he's standing he puts his sad face on. Pepper hates hates hates it, she sees the brush.. it doesn't even have to touch her.. and shes outta the room. If you try to hold her, she will kick kick kick squirm wriggle kick and squirm until she is as far away from you as possible. You'll give her a treat and try to brush her and its still no go. Maybe when she gets a bit more fur like Mars she won't dislike getting brushed as much... I can only hope. We're working on it. Recently Mars has developed this horrible habit of asking for food and attention by pawing at me.. its actually rather cute when he wants attention and does it, OH thinks its the most horrible thing that he could ever do. Pepper just sticks her head in your face and inches closer and closer and closer until you pay attention to her. And to finish off, I thought I would bombard you guys with some pics of the kids from the weekend.. after their bath.
  9. Love the pics, Xena looks very happy! Kasey is also sooo gorgeous, I love the pics of Xena & Kasey together.

    Clumsy Puppy

First thing I thought of was that floorboards are slippery. Our older pup became more coordinated at about 4 months, before then he was a complete clutz.
  11. Hehe, I really shouldn't laugh, mine love playing with empty toilet rolls. If Pepper ever finds any tissues or toilet paper she likes to rip it into a gazillion pieces.
  12. Glad to hear that you and Kuma arrived safetly and the car trip went well wuffles - OH loved the photo of the hot water system cable ties. Hrm.. mine don't get to see the postie at this place.. maybe thats a good thing.
  13. KTB - It is so exciting, we've been waiting so long! I don't think that we'll go to Sunday classes this session, mainly because we're still living on the other side of the planet and by the time we move our weekends will probably be spent fixing the house up. But atleast we'll only be 5mins away and can visit on Sunday mornings when we have a spare weekend. Btw, how do you have a puppy and live in Canberra with 1) lawn and 2) such green grass!? KumaAkita - Sounds like a plan  Niques - James is gorgeous, love the destruction photos! I'm glad I'm not the only one with chewed garden items and unstuffed toys.
  14. ah yes... I know all about that! We finished building at the end of February and we still have dirt - we ran out of time to do anything before winter frosts hit. Kuma is very good at gardening... so good that we're planning on showing him where we want our trees planted and get him to dig the holes for us Mars is very good at digging trenches and Pepper is good at making it look like a lawn mower has been over all the plants...! She's managed to kill parts of a hedge because she thought it was so comfy for sleep in/on... 5 more weeks then we're in our house yaaaaay! Well.. end of October/early November! We're putting down a heap of gypsum to break up the clay, so all doggies are welcome to come visit to help with the gardening. Kuma will have to come around and dig a couple of holes for us to plant our lemon and fig tree!
  15. Poor Mr. Octopus.. he never stood a chance. Oh and there is much more stuffing than that lying around, thats just a handful of it. Mars has also managed to crack the ball on the right there.. The monkey is one of Mars's first outside toys, even though its lost its eyes and its hands are showing stuffing, its in pretty good shape! The container is what happens when Mars finds something to chew on... What used to be a traffic cone. I don't know why my Mum has a cone at home. And what used to be a sofa.. before Pepper came along, this sofa did not have holes in it.. The inside toys! All their inside toys are in fantastic shape, these are the only 2 with slight problems. The cat is only missing a tail, which Pepper happily butchered off.. and the turtle is only missing its eyes. Pepper is again the culprit for these ones. Mr. Bunny.. yes, it WAS a bunny. I don't even know how it ended up outside in the first place and where it came from but... poor little guy. Mr. Bumblebee, the kids liked playing tug-o-war with him.. this is the result. This one has a bit of a hole in the side of the head.. And all 6 chairs have marks on them. Started happening when Pepper came along.. bet my Mum can't wait until the house is finished so she can kick us out! My Mum's yard had SO much that they can find and destroy.. atleast our yard will have nothing but dirt for like 6 months so the kids can help with the 'gardening'
  16. I can take and post a picture of the mangled octopus.
  17. I know, it was VERY silly of me. They have a stuffed monkey to play with outside and he's the only surviving stuffed toy left. Suprisingly, its one of Mars's first outside toys! Lucky for me, OH paid for the toys and dog food on the weekend! Hehehe...! I anticipate for Mars to fail his Bronze quite a few times as well! Other doggies are just so much more interesting than I am and if he saw any toys during the assesment he'd definitely want to play with those instead of coming to me.
  18. ... is that the devil dog..? So I went to Petbarn and got this Pet one - Octopus since Mars liked playing with that pinwheel so much, gave it to the kids yesterday and got home today and OH tells me that we wasted $6 on the weekend. I didn't quite understand until he said the octopus... the poor thing is how in half. The kids must have been playing tug-o-war with it and and they have decapitated Mr. Octopus. Unfortunately, he appears to be irreparable.. Well the kids can still play with its tentacles I suppose.
  19. Doop bi doop! I forgot to post, but a few weeks ago I put some tennis balls in our oversized muffin tin. The problem with that is the tennis balls don't cover the muffin holes and you can see the treats, which Mars did. Instead of attemping to take the balls out he licked and licked and licked and licked until the treats stuck to his tongue, it kind of reminded me of an anteater! It definitely kept him entertained for a LONG time though.. but I just felt sorry for the poor boy for not figuring it out. It might have been that he couldn't grab the tennis balls with his teeth, but I didn't even see him attempt to try. I did try again with the tennis balls again and 3 other bigger balls, he still only managed to knock one ball out and the others stayed put. He has a treat ball and a bob-a-lot which he knows how to get the treats out of, but this one.. he doesn't seem to get. I think I might try again this week and see how he goes.
  20. Some people should not have animals.. or even be allowed to be close to them.. ********* http://www.news.com.au/national/woman-smas...r-1225927491254 Two sickening pet cases in same court Man accused of trying to drown own dog Woman accused of smashing puppy on wall A MAN has faced court accused of trying to drown his leash-bound dog while, in a separate case, a woman has been charged with cruelty for throwing a puppy against a wall. Christopher Andrew Armstrong, 45, from Coodanup, near Mandurah, appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court today charged with one count of mistreating an animal. It is alleged that Armstrong walked his dog, named Mr Bumpy, into the sea at Mandurah's Town Beach, south of Perth, and submerged the dog under water three times, causing the animal to inhale water. He allegedly returned to the water two more time and again completely submerged his dog for about 10 seconds. The RSPCA says the dog was on a lead and unable to get away. Armstrong allegedly also was seen hitting the dog several times. Meanwhile, Tracey Marie Beal, 28, appeared in the same court charged with mistreating an animal for allegedly throwing a puppy against a wall in anger. The RSPCA said that on January 19, Beal was given a small, six-week-old female puppy by a friend. It was alleged that Beal took the puppy home, but when she became upset with the pet, she threw it against the wall several times. The puppy died. Both matters were adjourned until October 5.
