I see that Coogie has recommended someone for you to see . And there is the vet at Kedron. Coogie do you know her name? I recall Ams used to take all her dogs there.
-
Are you in Brisbane, swazzie? If so, there is a vet in Kedron Park who consistently gets rave reviews. Someone on DOL would know who I am talking about, but I can't recall her name.
-
Devastating news. And yes - see a specialist just so you know all the options. **hugs**

Thinking of you all and especially Chloe. Dogs suffer too when another is sick and away. Hoping that the vet will have definite diagnosis before too long. In my experience, dogs who have cancer don't show it until the cancer is advanced. Ain't that the truth . If the vets are ambivalent about what could be the problem make sure they do xrays and, if necessary, ultrasounds. Good luck.

Just wanted to add my sympathies. Rural Pug seems to have hit the nail on the head. What a shocking time you and your family have been through. But those poor little puppies. I hope the breeder's vet is strong enough and has influence enough to tell them not to breed again until they have the proper and safe conditions to do so.

I didn't like it at all.

The man sent me two sizes and charged me for only one which I thought was an exceptionally nice thing to do, but neither of them sat well on Danny and with the lens being so easy to dislodge, I just couldn't take the risk. I think if it were just for wound protection, they might have been okay, so if stormy wants to give them a try, I am more than happy to send them :)

Stormy, I bought a couple of these when Danny had one of his eyes operated on (his wasn't removal, just scraping). I found these didn't help with him because he could still rub and he had a protective lens in which was very easy to dislodge with rubbing. So if you would like to give these a try, I'd be happy to send them to you. If they fit, they are so much better than Elizabethan collars.

Morning Sickness Medications
Loving my Oldies replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in General Dog Discussion
I haven't weighed him for a while, but just from feel, he is holding firm, thank you. Thanks Yonjuro. I was out with a friend this afternoon and was away a bit longer than intended as required the NRMA to get me moving again, but the welcome when I arrived home was amazing. Danny was racing around like a dog half his age. -
What Food Can Your Dog Not Resist?

Morning Sickness Medications
Loving my Oldies replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in General Dog Discussion
Dearest Darling Danny Delicious is doing really well, I am happy (understatement   ) to report. He still has occasional throws but (hoping I am not jinxing him) not enough to have me racing to the vet in panic. He comes walking with me and the others; we occasionally go to an off leash dog park where they can all sniff to their hearts' content. I have to keep reminding myself that he is a very old dog now and sometimes he doesn't want to come walking, so he is left behind and I can hear him at the side gate barking in protest :o The amazing thing is that he now regularly has ordinary meals at the same time I give them to the other dogs. He prefers it slightly cooked and so do the others, it would appears, so that is pretty easy. Giving him his medications is easy as I have found that the tiny pills go down with cheese spread and the other is via syringe. The first in the morning ones sometime come back up, but I figure enough stays down to do the work they are meant to. I think he still feels a bit nauseous in the mornings, but not as bad as when I started this thread. Photo is from a few years ago, but I love it. -
Thanks coogie. I love Mac updates - he sounds much more of a character than Danny, but I've put an update on his thread LOL.
-
That sounds to me as though the specialists have already thought of the protection issue. Hope all goes well when the op has to happen.

I think Mac and Danny may have been communing over the cyber waves. Danny's last job at night before he settles down is to pretend hump Jeune.
-
 Watch out, Westiemum. Nina Zena might be in the market for a boyfriend.
-
And this has been a warning to me to be more vigilant because one of my dogs (Tamar - Maltese Shih Tzu cross) loves to rub her face and ears in all sorts of goodies on the ground that only she can see/smell  .
-
I feel for you - and Mac of course. Wonder how his ear became all gunky?
-
So beautiful. Never forgotten.
-
 I am sure we all agree with that, Ricey. Deepest condolences. Take care of you and the others left behind.
-
Goodbye sweetest little dog. You looked a treasure
-
I've seen that dog on FB. She is bigger and doesn't have hair on her face. Poor little darlings.
-
I must find one of my favourite photos of a little girl long gone. I'd bought some beds on line - four same coverings but of different sizes. I put them down and teeny tiny weeny little Tilly (l/h chi of considerable years) chose the biggest to sit on.

Comfort is everything - go Mac!!!

Four-Legged Teachers: Lovely Good News Story
Loving my Oldies replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
I'm pretty sure these dogs would be totally inured to hugs from all sorts and all sizes :D. The Delta Society has very strict rules and programs that the dog owners have to follow in terms of the health and temperaments of the dogs. I love the huge smiles on Val. She is obviously the sort of woman who loves children and loves seeing them progress.
