I wonder about the bit that says won't want to share with another canine at home. I've always felt that skittish and nervous dogs can do very well in a home where there are laid back and comfortable dogs. -
Do You Ever Get Over The Death Of A Dog?
Loving my Oldies replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
Beautifully written - as one would expect. Pity more men can't wear their hearts on their sleeves as eloquently as Richard Glover. -
For someone to immediately fly into such a rage, I can't help but think she has severe problems that require professional help. I feel sorry for, both parties really and hope the poo bag was securely tied. Sad.

Fast Foster Home Needed For Elderly Chi

Bugger . I fully anticipated the falling in love, but I hadn’t taken account of said cat. Back to the drawing board   -
I ordered my chicken jerky last week. Expensive, but the dogs love it, and that is all that matters.

This is such an important message to get across. I always like to stress that whatever the size, a dog is a dog - and still wants to run and chew on bones. :) :) -

A huge sigh of relief from Mooch City, Westiemum. Finding it hard to forgive a failed fone, though :mad   He will probably have the best sleep for a long time; he will know he is safe, warm, loved and in a deeply caring and understanding home. -

I Have To Face Up To It. My Dulcie Is Dying

Sounds as if Dulcie has a mum with a great sense of humour and fun -

Both statements = too true. Dogs cope very well with the transport option and, relatively, Zac is not all that old Brilliant work everyone. Westiemum, don’t let that owner back down. :mad If those dogs are left together, Zac won’t survive. -

Loving my Oldies replied to Dudsmedog's topic in Palliative Care Forum
That is very sad. 9 is very young for a little dog. No, you are not alone and many of us will grieve with you and understand why you grieve. Deepest sympathies. You and Dulcie have been blessed to have each other. -
Journo Tells Of How She Habitually Dumps Dogs
Loving my Oldies replied to _PL_'s topic in In The News
My underlining. I tried to read a bit of the link that given above, but it was just crazy. The woman is seriously nuts, I believe, and god knows what sort of day to day life the children have. When you learn you can’t trust what your parents says or what people close to you say, it is traumatising ---- even for adults. -
That is very good news. Let’s hope the Delicate Balance continues to agree with him and to keep the weight on.

I was hugely surprised at the price. Something like $48 for 3 kilos. I expected something at least three times that much.

Journo Tells Of How She Habitually Dumps Dogs
Loving my Oldies replied to _PL_'s topic in In The News
I saw this on FB a week or so ago and it was truly sickening. My first thought was (and I think I posted so) that she should get a visit from the Child safety department - whatever it is called where she lives. If true, she is severely psychological damaged and is doing the same in an horrific way to her child. -
Ci, I just did a search on your other topics to get a bit of background and to see if I could ascertain where you lived. I gather you are in Melbourne, so can I suggest that you contact BM Animals? DOer Valbitz put me onto them and I seriously mean it that by doing so she saved Danny's life. My vet had no suggestions as to how to help DANNY, he was so sick, losing weight dramatically, I was trying every food known to man and dog until Valbitz sent me some samples of goodies from BM Animals. I contacted them and they put him on a regime of probiotics, green tripe, bovine powdered pancreas and he turned the corner almost immediately. Every time I have to see my vet for one reason or another, Imtake Danny along and vet just shakes his head in amazement. Good luck!,

A DOLer suggested this to me when I was pretty desperate having tried just about every food imaginable to get my Danny to eat. I found it at Asquith Vets (Sydney) and they gave me a sample pack. SUCCESS.
