Oh dear, all those photos are just so heart warming. It's wonderful to see dogs out of the pound just relax and feel they are at home. You can practically see them thinking: oooh boy, I don't have to worry about what is happening around me or be stressed by the stressful [unavoidable sadly] atmosphere.

No, the humping lasted only a few seconds and, although it probably isn't clear in the photo, I could see he was actually nowhere near her, it was just all movement without any bits involved. Don't worry, they will be visiting the vet tomorrow ETA: I keep leaving vital words out - LOL.

He is marking all over the house, so you a very welcome to him - LOL.

No, but she may have been. The pup was estimted to be between 8-10 months old (I didn't see him as he'd already gone to a new home), but her undercarriage is a bit suspicious. Hope she isn't pregnant

A little family of three was surrendered to Renbury Farm. Baby Bear (about 8-10 months) was adopted but Mummy Vanilla and Dady Caramel were not and so Powerlegs and I have rescued them and I am foster mum - LOL. Mummy Vanilla is in the usual matted state a Maltese is in when impounded; Dady Caramel, a large Pomeranian Cross German Spita, I think, isn't tooooo bad, just the usual dreadlocks around his ears and copious amounts of loose hair. Mummy Vanilla was carrying about 2 kilos of muck under her eyes and we have got to her just in time as once one lot was cut away, we could see that the skin was wet and weapy and would have become infected very quickly. She probably needs a complete shave, but I will phone the groomer (50 metres up the road from me - aren't I lucky) and see if they would be prepared to come. I don't really want to wait out the quarantine period. Anyway, here they are. Only a couple of Mummy Vanilla because she wouldn't stand still and is already want to climb on me at every opportunity. Two naughty ones, so if you are easily shocked, look away. Don't worry, they will be desexed as soon as they have settled in a bit. Plenty of air between and "no bits" involved - LOL And the rest are of a boy who is going to be an 100% stunner when properly groomed and regularly brushed.

Remember Squid had the very obese Elliot? She was given lots of advice (mostly about pumpkin) and, although it took a while because he was a Golden if I remember correctly, he became very svelt.

Earwigging On A Convo At Work About Pitballs
Loving my Oldies replied to Heidii's topic in General Dog Discussion
A little off topic, but still to do with the strength of dogs. If my 6kg Jeune decides to stop dead to sniff at a blade of grass, I can be almost pulled off my feet. If a poll were taken, I think you would find that most people (generally speaking) believe that staffy breeds have jaws that lock. :D I did too, once. Why? Because I was told and it didn't occur to me to investigate further. -
I started to read this thread all over again to try to get my head around it. If Narelle/Michelle really does have small children, perhaps she should be mentioned to DOCS. Her paranoia is certainly not getting better and I wonder how many people who know absolutely nothing about her "record" and background have fallen for her sob stories. She may have a dozen dogs on site by now.

Cosmolo, please excuse my lack of response. I didn't see this. I got it from Bunnings, but they had to order it in for me and I had to buy a box of 6 - lol. I have given one away and I have one in my car and one in the lounge for the couch. It isn't really meant for clothese, but I use it. You would need to be careful with delicate fabrics and knits though. I don't know how you can manage the months of waiting for your special pup, but I guess if you want the lineage, you will have to have super dooper patience . Was just wondering if you happen to know the product code?? http://www.decor.com.au/usage/viewproducts.aspx?id=2123 The Brush is code 164000. But where are you? If you are near me, I have some spares - LOL -
Hypothetical: Dog Food Question
Loving my Oldies replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Well I absolutely no idea about any of that . I was just trying to make life interesting for the dogs. I wonder how many vets know this? So, to put it simply, you are saying find something the dogs like and has all the necessary nutrition, etc and stick to that and forget about variety? ETA: I have done that with my cat and if I think she MUST be getting bored and I try something different, she won't eat it. She has the same food, day after day, week after week, year after year. It makes me sad, but I guess that really is being anthropomorphic - LOL. I was getting rolls from the vet and at first they loved them, then did the usual thing and went off them. -
Hypothetical: Dog Food Question

I always warm their food and if it needs to be a little bit moister, I always have on hand home made chicken stock. I'm thinking of giving PAL a go - LOL. Years ago I had a friend staying with me with a couple of her dogs and she fed them PAL. Unfortunately, she never went on a poop drive and I can't tell you what the back yard smelt like as I cleaned up after her dogs every morning and night. -
Hypothetical: Dog Food Question

Where's the "slaps head" emoticon. That's the one I was thinking of when I bought All Natural by mistake. I couldn't understand why the dogs didn't like it as I have used Nature's Gift before. The cans must look similar. -
Hypothetical: Dog Food Question

But you can't feed dogs cat food all the time? Surely just as an occasional thing and to help tablets go down . I don't know the "gift" one - but I'll have a look when I'm out grocery shopping today. -
I give my dogs mostly raw food and sometimes mix in rice (cooked in home made chicken stock) and vegetables and Royal Canin dry food. My dogs have always been difficult eaters and generally look at me as though I am trying to poison them. See this thread as proof - LOL http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...=168141&hl= They certainly aren't fading away and are playful, happy and enjoying their walks. However, Danny is the only one who has eaten a square meal for about the last 3-4 days. I thought I would just get a couple of cans of food to see if I could tempt them. So, if you HAD to feed your dogs canned food, what would you choose. I tried All Natural when Rover was fading, but none of them liked that. At my wit's end. It was such a pleasure fostering Mundy and Lolly as they LOVED their food; Mundy would get so excited that he used to do a little drumming movement with his front legs . I hoped their enthusiasm would rub off on mine - but no such luck.

OMG, how fascinating. Video please.
