How amazing to hear that you are able to switch onto another lifeline, Jed . . . . . . DOL I don't think anyone even in the most robust of health could tackle this thread in one go and we don't want you relapsing through exhaustion. I am sure I am not alone in saying that I feel gutted when I think of the loss of your beautiful creatures. You have probably shed and will continue to shed an ocean of tears. We hope with all our hearts that time will heal your body and your heart, Jed.

I was just about doubled up in pain reading your description, LuvLottie. Poor little Astro. I think you might be scratching your head for lying down activities for Astro long before the month is up. I think you just have to find some interesting books to read to her - LOL. Beautiful dogs, all of them

If Anyone Is Interested..

How extremely distressing for you ILDD . I wonder why the police don't put the frighteners on him if they know who the person is? Can people put up pretend CCTV cameras? -
Donations For The Awl Gold Coast
Loving my Oldies replied to Miss BeRidgierent's topic in General Dog Discussion
Miss BeRidg - good luck with your efforts. I did a letterbox drop in just a couple of streets around where I live and the goodies I collected was amazing. Even if something is nearly worn out, I assure people they are fine too. Even if the kennels get one use out of something and then toss it out, it is a help. How wonderful for the dogs to get taken to the beach. What a great shelter. -
Cheap Polar Fleece Blankets In Kmart
Loving my Oldies replied to huga's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm getting a bit like that. I have even bought blankets for myself on ebay. I love them as they are so warm and so light and dry in 3 seconds. LOL -
How wonderful to get first hand news of Jed. She must be feeling much better for you to be able to spend so much time with her. Great news. And now, Jed, just a few words to you. Don't feel pressured or anything, but we expect lots and lotds of photos of your hospital room covered in cards and letters - LOL. You and yours are constantly in the thoughts of Mooch City.

Oh, the poor darling ;) . I hope you can get to the bottom of it and it is something that is easily medicated.

I Spent A Wee Bit On My Beaglys Tonight!

OT: When are you going to change your signature, b.b. Badg is getting upset - he told me -
I toss polar fleece throws all over my bed for the dogs to burrow in, but Jeune STILL wants to go right down under the bedclothes and because Tamar gets toey if she can't see Jeune, she has to go too .

TSK TSK TSK. When will people get this right? It is cream eyebrows and four hairs.

Oh, what fun!! But 10 minutes of heart in mouth, I'd need a stiff drink after that. Great pix, mobile phone and maniacal movement or not.

Although I am hoping too, Tilly, I can't help be feeling this is probably the case. They are so small and delicate, to be taken like they were would have been such a shock.

Dingoes Attacks On Properties In Nsw Central West
Loving my Oldies replied to Luvmy4's topic in In The News
If that what the person is doing, he/she is extremely misguided. Oh, it is all just so sad and depressing. -
Good morning, Jed. Hope you are feeling better and soon will be able to partake of a bit of the yummies on offer in the waiting room. Another blue and gold day in Sydney, for longer than yesterday's effort I hope. I will visualise you well and healed as I walk the dogs looking forward to the day when you are back with your loved ones.

Dingoes Attacks On Properties In Nsw Central West
Loving my Oldies replied to Luvmy4's topic in In The News
Well, not really. :D Unless he is releasing them into pristine areas-protected, with an abundance of natural prey , he is sending them to a death sentence Most of the Australian landscape has been changed forever- trees and native wildlife have gone- extra watering points have ensured survival of feral pests- sheep/cattle /goats graze everywhere.. small mammals have been wiped from areas due to loss of habitat..kangaroos/emus are restricted in movement due to increasingly formidable fencing. We have stuffed up the country, and the dingo now must tread over human territory if it is to hunt/breed/populate. This is not a good scenario. Feral dogs have settled where there 'should' be dingoes - and these breed with the dingo packs- hybrids may then not just have the one breeding season like dingoes- but two or three... quickly outnumbering any purebred dingoes around ;) It is a very sad state - and I cannot see a solution. Where would be be an abundance of natural prey? Only where there were wild camels, buffalo and pigs, I imagine. Anything else in Australia is no longer in abundance. The only solution is to cull the human race. That is the problem. -
and in some cases there is a damn good reason for it being an immediate dismissal. Actually, GayleK, it is very much the business of the people rehoming a rescue or homing a puppy. Some dogs are simply not suited to being left home alone for long periods and some dogs will take to it with not a problem at all. It is essential that rehomers/homers know their dogs so they can put their dogs where all parties' needs will be met. About 5 years ago, I was visiting a prospective foster carer with a view to adopting and discovered that she had an unfenced above ground swimming pool with steps up to the surrounding decking as well as great big holes in her fence. She said in the 30 years she'd had the pool she hadn't had anything go wrong and then proceded to tell me of all the things that had happened !!! She did not get the dog. I wouldn't put this on an open forum :D . However, if a home visit is part of the homing/rehoming process anyone telling porkies should be sprung to a certain degree.

Who Has The Oldest Dog Here?
Loving my Oldies replied to lanabanana's topic in General Dog Discussion
Rover was my oldest at nearly 20 when he had to be helped to the Bridge in September of last year. I had him for only 3 of those years and frankly he was amazing. I thought he would go on forever, but as happens when someone is of a great age, the wheels just fell off and he went downhill very very quickly. :D -
Your ability with colour is really something, Bec.
-
It is fabulous to see dogs so attuned to each other. Then add to that a mum who takes phantastic photos .... matches made in heaven, I'd say.
-
Rainbow Bridge isn't very often visited, but I had to come to your thread, LWC. The last photo in your signature always gave me such a happy feeling and I am so sorry to hear that these great mates have been parted. This will be a hard time for all of you.

Keeping The Candles Lit For Jed
Loving my Oldies replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in General Dog Discussion
I know everyone is very busy and it is a glorious day here in Sydney, but just bumping for when people are back on line in front of a heater -
I hope you have luck in tracking down the paperwork, Jazzie.
-
Oh, the little darling. I remember when she won the title. RIP Miss Ellie, I hope your mum achieves her dream.

Good morning Jed. Good morning Toohey. Great to get the news. Sorry the grog was just wishful thinking After a weeks of drizzle and a day of belting rain yesterday, we have wonderful blue skies in Sydney and I am willing them up to Queenieland. I used to call winter days in Brisbane Blue and Gold: fabulous blue skies and bright bright sun. Oooohhhh - lovely. Hope you enjoy them. VIRTUAL ??!! Well where the heck did that mug of milk, malteasers and marchmallows that I've just had come from then??? We've heard that before and the power of our collective, "WE WANT MORE!" will overcome Loved the photos of the babies waiting for nana, Kyla.
