  1. Sooo beautiful. How can I ever forget Marnie and the others !! So big and all adults now.
  2. Ha ha ha ----- isn't it wonderful to know that you can post something like that on a forum and you'll probably have hundreds of other people jumping for joy as well. Go Alaska !!! ;) How great it is too that you have a neighbour who can enter into your love of the dogs and be so excited to see their advancement.
  3. Weren't you looking at the possibility of another Japanese Spitz, CW EW? :D
  4. Dysney, look at this website and in Particular Chapter 25. Imagine if your Nana had told you about this . When you have time read the whole website. It is absolutely beautiful. http://camelian.webs.com/index.htm
  5. To save her from the dastardly deviousness of the Deshonko Kennelmaids??? ANYTHING !!
  6. No way!! down in the shed, pumping them out, pumping them out. Nothing wrong with a bit of patella luxation, and most of the suckers puppy buyers wont know the pups have their back legs on back to front Chi x JRT, chi x poos - chipoos!! Very popular. Can't keep a good puppy farmer down, Mother Moocher, you should know that, and I now have official confirmation from the RSPCA that I am a good ethical breeder, with beautifully kept and well socialised dogs so I can trade on that!! Prices going up. Hmm, I was worried that these sorts of plans might be festering. How you can even contemplate ChiChi for that sort of profession is beyond me. I thought you realised she was a ONE OFF and never to be duplicated. If I am going to dognap her when I visit Queensland next month, I don't want to find her replica around any corner, thank you very much. Legs on back to front or otherwise. And as I am going to be there for the Dodgy Doggy Finals at the Ekka, I was thinking of sneaking her in there too. I doubt I have any say in the matter though seeing that the RSPCA is on your side now.
  7. The right dog could be a real bloke magnet for you MM.. Shall I cook something up to order? Here ya go MM - no real man will be able to resist the lady who owns this dog! Close, but brown makes me feel depressed . Does he come in a noice cyclamen colour? . My Guinness cans would show up a little better as well.
  8. Hmm, ain't got no man in me loife . I'll just have to encourage those who do to order from the best shonky kennels around.
  9. Quite off topic, but it is some that has irked me for a long time. It may sound petty and pedantic, but I am so opposed to Council Pounds calling themselves "Shelters". It's like giving a coat of paint to a prison, planting a few trees and calling it a resort. If they are killing animals, they are not a "Shelter".
  10. Was wondering when you'd get your fingers out and start working on the next lot of speciality breeds. You are going to have to come up with some extra extra speshal ones who can help Jed build, paint, fence, push a wheelbarrow. I have every faith in your amazing capabilities. I can just see ChiChi sitting on a pile of bricks yelping orders and keeping an alert eye on mumma Jed to make sure she doesn't over do it.
  11. All states are different. Pounds are controlled by state and local govts. And then some pounds just do their own thing.
  12. I don't think we'll get a better definition than that! :D Excellent and succinct.
  13. Yes, I give "directions" too , Corvus.
  14. The Hornsby Council is pretty good and don't have a limit on the numbers of dogs you have providing there aren't any complaints, but they might be a bit put out at a poddy in the back yard.
  15. Are you walking them separately? I guess it is fairly easy for me because I live in a quiet area, in that my street is the end of the road and so the people walking around and the children playing live in the area. However, there is a playground at the top of my street and I approach it with all antennae up ready to take charge. I have been known to put my hand up like a policeman and yell, "Stop!" Too bad if I look and sound ridiculous. My first concern is my dogs and I won't have them crowded by noisily excited children. Vi, just be firm. If you are approaching children watch for the first sign that they are going to run or come quickly towards you and YELL at them to stop and tell them they are frightening your dog. If you are having to address Emmy's fear and the children are already upon you, she is going to have ever worsening problems and the time may come when she is an adult and bigger that she snaps through fear. Tell the children that if they want to pat her, they have to be quiet, gentle, not crowd around, they have to crouch down, not bend over her, etc etc. You have to address your concerns and reactions too; you won't get tense if you feel you are in charge and can control the situation.
  16. Yes, me too. Wouldn't it be wonderful.... and such a great excuse for a trip to my home state. Thinking of the reunion, Jed. Hopefully no bandages get ripped off in the excitement.
  17. Thank you. (Personal interest as my mother died from Idiopathic Thrombocyopenia.)
  18. I'm with Crazy Daisy and Danielle, Lucy's mama. I have no knowledge, but just wanted to send you and Lucy sympathies and big hugs.
  19. Wasn't it, just? Pretty teary myself. There were even a couple of cans of food at the memorial . You must feel very content to be part of a community like Goolwa, Jules.
  20. That must have been very very hard :D and your meeting the dogs again will be so bitter-sweet, Jed. Just a bit of trivia: I did a search on all my topics last night (I can't remember now what I was looking for ), but I found one I'd posted in 2004 wondering about the breed mix of a little dog I'd rescued at that time. You'd posted in that thread . BTW, the little dog, Tamar, is still with me six years later .
  21. What an amazing job you have done Pipsal, against so many odds. You are to be congratulated. Well done.
