  1. I'm sooooo jealous! WHY when I have five dogs on the bed to cuddle? I don't have a two legged person to enjoy the doggy cuddles
  2. I've never seen them - they look fantastic...... for a wine glass as well I wouldn't use one for holding a bone though; dogs like to get down and dirty with bones. No, you'd have people screaming and running and carrying on as though Jack the Ripper and Hanibal Lector had boarded the train hand in hand.
  3. Although my experience is very limited, I believe that to be the correct action. Danny has fits from time to time and I keep a note of date, hour, duration and what happens. I generally hear a bit of a scrabbling sound as Danny can't keep his balance and he is trying to get to me. I pick him up, sit in a comfy chair and just hold him very tightly until it is over. He doesn't thrash around, just goes stiff and clings to me for dear life; he doesn't lose consciousness or dribble; he is quite aware of what is happening and, like Tag, is upset and frightened. If I go to put him down before he is ready, he won't let go so I just keep holding him. When the fit is completely over, I put him on the floor, he gives himself a shake, his tail goes up and he trots off as though nothing has happened. These episodes last from between 2 to 5 minutes - rarely longer. Between the most recent and the one before was a period of 9 months, so they are very infrequent. I hope Tag will be okay.
  4. Quite wrong - LOL. Here is Mufti coming in from excavations in the garden: The white and mud coloured one (Nilla) went to a home with an SOS terrier (Guppy) at Leonay some months ago and I had lunch with the family yesterday. Talk about beautiful dogs and so loved and cared for. Nilla was looking absolutely gorgeous and Guppy (who had been in kennels at Londonderry for several weeks before his adoption I believe) was looking scrumptious. Clean, his coat soft and shining, eyes bright and happy. I knew the family would love them to bits, but it is wonderful to actually see it.
  5. And none of them needs a nose job :D
  6. I sent one, but I didn't cut and paste - just sent a few words of my own. Hopefully they will be being deluged and the Hell Hole will be prevented.
  7. I wouldn't have thought so. These puppy millers tend to move to other places when they are shut down, so if protest letters are being sent in great numbers to one council, other councils may just reject without going through the same processes.
  8. I know, probably cost about $2 to make. Ya never know, I might need them myself one day . My bed is quite high.
  9. I was right .... here is Mountaineer Myrtie: And Timid Tamar .... jumping off the Mountain:
  10. I started a thread in Off Topic a little while ago about being sick of living in jeans and t-shirts and dog hair. Had lots of suggestions to start buying on line. I eventually ordered 5 items and sent 3 back (should have been 4), so I don't know that I can recommend it as although the cost of the garments is fully refundable, I still paid postage each way ;) .
  11. Oh, that sounds awful. I have been telling Gussy for years to stand her ground, be inscrutable and if that doesn't work, take a swipe. But you know what kids are like: won't listen to mum.
  12. I'm just putting them on the steps at the moment, Malamum, and walking them up. Tamar was on the top step looked at the bed, looked around and jumped off Myrtie will be the first to accomplish The Climb, I think. The width of your steps is much better, Hafhaha. Until they arrived, I didn't realise mine were so narrow.
  13. In actual fact, I have about 10 pots on the deck in various places and all have survived - it is the garden that occasionally takes a beating. Have you ever seen these photos posted some months ago - two fosters since rehomed, thank goodness - LOL?
  14. My normal wash is mostly dogs' blankets, but I don't recall ever hanging out a line of coats before - LOL. I found one in the garage later in the day .
  15. I looked at those for a long time, but they are too short for my bed, P/fan, (58cms) and I figured the temptation for little male legs to be lifted was too great.
  16. Oh how funny. Pure coincidence, I assure you. Now I am worrying about YOU. Fancy spotting that - LOL.
  17. I guess it is not exactly cheap, but I like that you can fold it down and put it out of the way. And it is neat -
  18. Phew !! Thank goodness - I was starting to worry.
  19. I haven't missed the point; but I would like to know why taking the RSPCA for millions is a better solution. Where is the karma [sic] in that ? Where do those millions come from? It comes from the pockets of well meaning people who probably, like the majority of Australians, think the RSPCA is a wonderful caring and ethical organisation. Outrageous statements like SBT123's don't help in the slightest.
  20. Again I ask: Did you see the animals and were you at the court case to see all the evidence from each side? Did you No, but I am not passing judgement as you are and hoping that the people took the RSPCA "for millions".
  21. You can imagine the outcry if someone did take retribution in the same manner as the crime. Yet the people who carry out these despicably cruel acts are just let off time and time again. It beggars believe really. I just wonder where judges and magistrates keep their comprehension of the ramifications of their lack of action.
  22. Again I ask: Did you see the animals and were you at the court case to see all the evidence from each side?
  23. I thought you'd be a cert in your spare time, Ams
  24. Washing day at Mooch City (note the ramp down the stairs and the beds in the background):
