  1. Beyond belief. The more I read about Judges and their judgements, the more I am convinced that many of them have lost touch with reality. Before pronouncing, they should spend time with the families affected by crime.
  2. Please explain? Are there words of 1/2 a syllable?
  3. Thnking of you and Bella, Nic. I am sure your treasure will be very happy with the "close eye" her mum is keeping on her - :D .
  4. OMG, that sounds awful - removable external brace, I mean. The idea of a wicked plan sounds . . . . well, wicked
  5. Yes, we always feel for people who have to make these difficult decisions - for whatever reason.
  6. Well you know what waiting did last time.. I would be out there on their doorstep. What for? Glemhaith is second on the list and will be contacted if the dog can go to her. Just ease up on all the criticisms about this dog. The bossiness about who should do what in this thread has been astounding and very off putting. I am surprised Glemhaith has hung around at all! Read the whole thread again and see the stuff-ups that have gone on at the pound. That's why I'd be there. Nothing to do with the people here.
  7. That is a bit harsh Pav Lova. It is human nature to wonder about the past. Why do countless thousands all around the world try to trace their ancestors? Just because someone is thinking about a dog's past doesn't mean they aren't addressing the current behaviours :)
  8. Well you know what waiting did last time.. I would be out there on their doorstep.
  9. What a sad and terrible thing to have happened . I hope Lilli continues to get well and eventual manages to put her fears behind her. I sincerely hope you find Larry. Blessings to the farmer who helped Lilli.
  10. Yes where is everyone Hopefully not bothering about DOL, but getting ready to snatch the boy away to a new and better life :) :)
  11. The wheel has already been invented - LOL. If you are deadset on establishing yet another rescue group, talk (as in pick up the phone) to those already long established.
  12. My advice: don't replicate what is aleady happening and thin out already scarce resources. Offer to help already existing rescue groups who have been in the business for a long time: http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/243719-act-animal-rescue-aar/
  13. Princess wins the lottery for a second time: first being rescued by K9, secondly by finding the perfect home. The photo of her scaring   Takoda is excellent. Well done, K9.
  14. So do we know who is No 1 on the EOI at Blacktown for the Skye Boy? Only one more day there for him. I know that if I'd been "bidding" for him, I'd be on the phone to Blacktown just to make sure that my name was still there and that all was tracking well for a very early springing of him.
  15. There would be more variety and expertise at a nursery. Water cress is delicious. Mustard and cress, too. I think with hydroponics there is fertiliser running through the water.
  16. Poor baby . It could be the medication as well upsetting her tummy. I know from past experience (and bitter regret), that it is best to go to the vet than to not, when a behaviour is of concern. As a vet once said to me: the owner knows the dog better than anyone and if they think there is someone not right, then that is probably the case. It might be anything from "nothing to worry about" to life threatening. Best to go to the vet. With your dog who is barking, Kavik, my Danny starting growling some time ago. He sleeps on my bed and growls if I or any of the other dogs move; he growls when any of the other dogs jump up onto the bed or jump off. He gets so bad sometimes, that I have to put the light on and give him a good shake to bring him out of it. And then he looks at me as though he is saying, "Huh, what's up?" I have put it down to old age, because blood tests and examinations haven't shown anything. He is also barking more often - at birds, at people passing by (he can't get to the front fence though) and generally if anything disturbs him.
  17. Well, I don't have anything constructive to add, except that I have had two little dogs who would disappear into the bedroom and under the bed from time to time. One I still have and one has long since gone to god. I put it down to the "Greta Factor" - ie I want to be alone  and/or just a nice little cave situation, because none of the lounge chairs or couches are high enough for them to get under.
  18. Sounds dreadful, P_S. I hope you are a quick healer. Don't forget we want pix of the lime green cast with Pei Prints.
  19. I feel sick - LOL. I was watching it thinking about the thread on Off Topic about these little robots. At first, the house looked soooo gorgeous . . . . . . . . . .
  20. Welcome back and congratulations for bringing such a heartstopper into your life. Omar looks a real character. I always had a giggle at your signature photograph and am so sorry to hear that Turtle has crossed the bridge. As you say, he will always be with you.
  21. Tie her ears together on top of her head with a soft scrunchie.
  22. Like your thinking, Aphra
  23. Oh that is just terrible, Ams. Poor P_S. Doesn't she already have some not so good ramifications of a previous injury, or am I getting her mixed up with someone else? Please let her know we are thinking of her and wishing her a speedy recovery.
  24. You have yourself a stunningly beautiful girl there, Tarope. Congratulations on rescuing her and as SamiSam says: may you have many many years together.
  25. I think it probably isn't submission in cases like this: I think it is more to put the other dog at ease and to show that they (the belly crawler LOL) isn't a threat.
