  1. Well, I've just gone through all sixteen pages and I think I have to lie down because of cuteness overload. Found this thread because of a remark in the Luka thread. Of them all, a squillion wonderful wonderful photographs, I think I pick this. I know Kajtek will be pleased with my choice. How are the adopted babies all progressing FM?
  2. Oh my, what great photographs. Those dogs are having SO MUCH FUN Off to get update fix in "It started with a kiss" :D
  3. Harper's legs!!! Huge. All the more to ooh and aahh over. Love the one where Pickles is lying in front of her and Zeddy is sitting there looking oh so, "Silly youngsters."
  4. I'm always telling my Gussy Cat that, if she didn't run, the dogs wouldn't chase. She is getting better and regularly just stays lying in the driveway while we all pass by on our walks. Your photos, as always, are so interesting and captivating, Kirislin. Although I don't have one DIY bone in my body and can hardly hammer a nail without breaking something , I subscribe to a magazine called Earth Garden. They have a regular feature about chooks called "Living in Fowl Times". I love it because, as CrazyCresties says, they are such characters. PS: I was very taken with the jugs on the table just inside. :)
  5. Rozzie has always had the knack of "doing something right" for her doggies . It's called love and understanding.
  6. People assume because a vet is a vet, that he or she loves animals. Sadly not the case. I am so glad that you have found Noel again, HL. It is an enormous weight of one's mind to know that you have a vet who is not only concerned about your animals, but appreciates how you feel yourself about your animals. Love to you and your babies.
  7. Thanks for your reply. What did you like about them? Happy, good natured, robust, playful. There doesn't seem to be a profile in Breeds 101, so maybe go to a few other sources.
  8. Oh Juice, a long time ago, I saw a brindle Bull Terrier, even remember where I was ... Ashfield. He was gaspingly beautiful. His owners thought I was mad of course, going bonkers over this beautiful dog, when people generally crossed the street to avoid them. 100% this.ORANGE Poms for the win! Well, I thought that at first, but have to say black Poms and black Pugs are amongst my favourites ..... to look at. Next dogs are going to be BBBBIIIIIIGGGGGG!! Spread the word, please Mantis. I am so tired of the old "yappy dogs" mantra. Bunter will be on your doorstep later in the day.
  9. Wonderful little dogs. Never owned one, but helped out a couple in rescue.
  10. No, thankfully I have a 2-3 seater as well....or at least a tiny bit of one anyway! As soon as I sit down they scramble over one either side and the little squeeze in the middle is all I have Ha ha ha - I was wondering the same. Good to see that you have your priorities straight, crickets   .
  11. If you applied for information from the RSPCA, I'm sure you would be very old and worn out by the time you won your case, if you ever did.
  12. Girl after my own heart. That is presuming the wine is for you and not to knock Harry out   Promise it is for me!!! lol One more sleep and we will be getting photos.
  13. That was my immediate reaction to the question. One of my dogs is a Finnish Spitz cross who has a brilliant red coat. He is the one who gets the most attention when we are out walking.
  14. Well with GSD's I was always aware on how other people thought about them. Plus my daughter had a friend who was terrifed of dogs and no way was I going to risk a false accusation. If the dogs were locked up they couldn't be blamed for scaring her or knocking her over. Parents freaked cause I let an 8 week old puppy run around in the same room as the kids and I. We have to be second guessing other's actions all the times and try to not leave anything to chance. Re freaking because an 8 week old puppy is playing around ..... Hate to think of the messages those parents are sending. My heart goes out to yet another toddler and parents and dog for being embroiled in a terrifying situation which could so easily have been avoided - in hindsight.
  15. Happy happy news!! Well done for all who work to get dogs ( and other impounded animals) saved.
  16. Apart from colour, how do you tell the difference? Joke!!
  17. . I missed this when first posted. Sorry Indigirl. I hope you are wrong and I hope that I was also wrong in my post No. 33.
  18. Umm, does that mean that I have to go back over the entire 6 pages and find some small print?
  19. Interesting about the point between the shoulder blades, because that is where my dogs love being scratched and so does Gussy Cat.
  20. OP has already said the rspca have told them the dogs have been adopted. Thank you. I missed that.
  21. 8 days since this thread started. Are the dogs still needing rescue/adoption. Hard to believe a solution can't have been found in this time.
  22. Girl after my own heart. That is presuming the wine is for you and not to knock Harry out
  23. Yummy yummy - a black Cocker. Christina's post made me laugh. When I first had two little Maltese puppies (loooooooong time ago) after quite a few nights of crying and yelping and general distress, I let them sleep with me. I was told by my vet that I'd never have a proper night's sleep again   Wrong wrong wrong. I love having my babies all around me I even have a set of stairs for them to climb up. Looking forward to hearing all about Harry.
  24. Stinky stinky   Get some rolls of Sir Walter Buffalo. Not expensive, easy to lay and will grow very quickly. Definitely.
