Toohey thank you for the update and my heart goes out to her family and friends at the front holding her hand and helping in so many ways. I was hoping that Magnus was alive I know he will be watching over his human mum along with all the others who were taken in this terrible tragedy. RIP TBCSITW -
Good on you for caring obviously the council don't ;) I find that appalling it is a accident waiting to happen this dog could either be hit while going to the bus stop or as you say an innocent child might approach the dog and it may bite out of fear. If it were me I would ring the council in the morning and ask to speak to the officer in charge of animal control and talk to him about it and relay your concerns. I wonder why the dog keeps going to the bus stop wonder if it is waiting for it's owner or something.

It is isn't it, we have Poodlefan to thank for that Also thanks to Jaxx'sBuddy for that wonderful link to the candles I couldn't take photo's last night so I did a google image search and found my avatar under lit candles for healing, never thought to borrow someone else's. I think it is such a lovely tribute for all the wonderful dolers to keep the candle burnt with feelings of hope for Jed, such a wonderful community we belong to -

Keep The Light Shining For Jed - Previous 9pm Tonight
wolfgirl replied to wolfgirl's topic in General Dog Discussion
It will stay lit there until Jed goes home. Whilst I've never met her, she's a big part of why I enjoy this place so much and I'm devastated by what's happened to her. If anyone ever wanted to know how much she would do for her beloved dogs, she's answered that question in a way that I hope none of us ever have to emulate. I will send a card today. There will tough times ahead and I will do whatever I can for Jed. Lets hope for good news for she and Magnus. Poodlefan that is beautiful. I am sure many others would like to do this as well and join in to keep the light shining for Jed. Would you like me to change the title of the thread and invite others to join the vigil? If you'd like to WG. I'm sure most of us are trying to support Jed in ways both symbolic and practical. If Jed's family find any comfort or support here, then so much the better. Thank you Poodlefan -

Oh gosh 2 more precious babies gone RIP sweet ones Harminee that is a great idea about trying to bring Magnus out. The other thing that someone suggested would be tracking, does anyone close by have a dog who tracks or maybe contact the tracking club I am sure they would be willing to offer their services. I so hope Magnus is found quickly and worried that his age and his state of distress his condition could deteriorate, please Magnus come out so you can be wrapped in safe arms -

Logged in this morning and relieved to hear Jane is holding her own, that is great news. I was hoping to read Magnus has at least been sighted if not found the poor boy must be so stressed and scared and I hope he is close somewhere and will see that everyone is trying to help him and come out so he can be taken care of. To all the people organizing and helping you are amazing and I take my hat off to you, please make sure you all get some rest as well in this trying time. To Jane's family and friends stay strong and thank you for keeping us all updated. To all the wonderful dolers giving their support and also coming up with all the beautiful thoughts and ideas you are a great bunch of people, for those you who aren't able to give financially please know it's the little things of support, thoughts and words that are also important. I like many others don't know Jed personally but respect her wealth of wisdom, calm thinking posts and her humour, she is one of a kind who is very special to all on Dol. Lets hope the day keeps bringing good news that Magnus is found and Jane continues to slowly improve. -
I would but the inlaws live there otherwise I'd be there in a flash oops forgot my manners I meant outlaws

I am so sorry to read this post as well It helps give a bit of an insight as to what Jed may be feeling once she is more aware as I imagine she would be heavily sedated Some really lovely suggestions also. -
She also does Hair Analysis so I presume people from Intersate would be able to do that with Carol. I didn't think she did hair analysis ..... I thought it was analysis via saliva that she does? I had hair analysis done by someone else. Both interpretations/advice/opinions pointed to the same thing. ETA: Are we talking about the same person, Wolfgirl? I see Jacqueline at Natural Animal Solutions. No I knew you were at one stage seeing Carol trhink we talked about it at the Uta Bindels weekend so dumb me who always says to people never assume because you will make an ass out of yourself did that so my apologies for presuming

Lighting a candle is a symbol of hope. The threads about Jed are full of hope that she recovers well & that her dogs & other pets are safe. It was a fitting suggestion someone made, to light a candle...& raise a glass...for her. Thank you Mita I was just about to reply when I saw your post, you said it so much better than I could have I'm afraid I struggle to find the right words sometimes in these situations -

I popped this in the news thread a while ago, you being an older member would remember this ritual so thought I would put it here and in Off Topic -
Poodlefan has changed her avatar for the candle she lit in our Dol ceremony for Jed last night, I love her idea of keeping a light burning and many others also loved this idea so she has welcomed others if they would like to join and change their avatar to a candle burning. In the news thread two more boxers were found under Jed's bed, the babies were trying to stay close it is so heartbreaking Jed we are thinking of you. Over the years we have done this for when tragedy strikes within the Dol Community. Let's light a candle for Jed's recovery and pray and wish those of her beloved dogs a safe journey to the bridge. I think from memory the last couple of times it was 9pm. Would anyone like to join in.
