I think the injuries you suffered were not from the other dog attacking you as such but more from being in the middle of the attack. It is always risky when you go into breaking up a fight, I don't think the other dog meant to hurt you. Argh I cannot get the words to sound right, somebody help me out here please Hope you get some resolution and Max is healing well

Like others have said you can see this will end badly. Maybe suggest to your friend they could foster a puppy from a shelter and see what they are in for first, it may just be the eye opener they need to realise what a horrible mistake they could be making.

I just have no words :D I really hope there is a special someone who is able to give this glorious old man a loving home for his final years.

Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
wolfgirl replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
Jed please forgive me, I keep trying to post in here lately but I get overwhelmed and then the tears start and then I delete because I just can't find the right words I want to say and still can't but I wanted to let you know I am always thinking of you and you are never far from my thoughts. -
Hope your doggies are okay I can really sympathize with you, I rarely walk my dogs around my area and now if I do I walk them separately because we have lots of tossers around this area who obviously don't know there ARE leash laws When did walking your dog which is supposed to be an enjoyable event become such a hard thing to do these days, I really don't understand how so many people could be so stupid I did actually take mine out today separately and I know I shouldn't be such a biatch but watching the guy who said his dog is perfect without a lead so doesn't ever bring one with him running off the reserve to catch his dog who took off after another dog, just hope he got him before his dog ran across the busy road, never say never comes to mind

There is another ad from a well known working line who words their ads very well, to me anyone looking at the first ad would they realize that these dogs if trained to what is stated would have to follow the DD law, not everyone is conversed in that area and I honestly think with all the new dogs laws they are trying to introduce the wording is poor. Maybe not for the faint heartded would be a good phrase
-
Can you put what area you are in so people can suggest some ideas for you.
-
Don't get me wrong I understand it is a ad for security dogs but I just don't like to see the word Aggression used, I think it could have been worded effectively without that being said
-
My dogs are allowed to walk in front as long as there is no tension on the lead, when people are approaching I bring them back into heel position so they see the dogs are effectively controlled and have no need to cross the road Alot of people see my GSD and look wary so I always like to show people that they are well behaved. When we run both dogs are out in front running in sync with each other. I have also taught both dogs to walk on both sides and sometimes do this as a training exercise one on each side just depends where they walk on what mood I am in

Thanks Couldn't work out why anyone would have such a strange name
-
Was just looking at the bottom of the list and saw a user name deleted Anyone want to fess up Hmmm think I am spending too much time on dol today
-
I don't have a problem with dogs with high drive and worded that way it is the word AGGRESSION that bother me and the fact that alot of new people looking at the ads will associate GSD's with aggressive tendencies
-
Just reading through the dol listings for upcoming litters and was very disappointed to read one that advertised this in their ad These should prove to be incredible working dogs, with natural drive, aggression and balance. Should we be promoting dogs in this fashion considering all the new laws they are trying to bring in, I am disappointed to read this as aggression is not a natural part of the GSD nature and shouldn't be promoted in this way Didn't think I would read something like that on a Dol listing, maybe Trading Post or somewhere and I understand people pay to advertise here on Dol but should their ads be scrutinized more as I thought the aim was to promote healthy and well balanced dogs owned by responsible people. I hate to see breeds promoted in the wrong way and that goes for any breed

Oh gosh how devastating ;) RIP Phoebe My heart goes out to you, please please don't blame yourself it could have happened whether you fed at the regular time or not, it is one of those things where we go "what if" and that won't help you heal in any way, there are no what if's, life is just very cruel sometimes. -
