Thoughts are with you at this time, I read your post from start to finish staying up late well past the bedtime and please know that I wish you both all the best, decisions are always hard to make but know that whatever decision you make it will be made from your heart with the best interest for your love of Kal. I am from your area and know of Russell Mitten and he is highly recommended but ultimately you know best and what Kal can cope with, I hope you have many more wonderful memories together.

I have only just seen this thread as I am fairly new here and I am so sorry to hear of your news, I lost my beautiful boy (the one in my avatar) to this horrible disease a year ago, my thoughts are with you and know that you were all blessed to have this magnificent boy in your life. Thinking of you.

Also with Sarcoptic Mange the dog needs to be quarantined away from other animals as if they slept in the same area it is contagious. A vet will be able to determine which of the two this is if in fact it is this or something else but you really need a vet to check it out first.
