I had two White Boxer pups BAER tested at UQ about three years ago. They do a wonderful job and the process is fascinating. My two were both unilaterally deaf and went to lovely pet homes. It is very reasonably priced for the breeder, I think I paid only $25 per pup at 6 wks.

Hi Gumnut My OH made me a trailer a couple of years ago. I really liked the Icecube trailers (made from cool room panelling) so he made one similar. The panelling was very reasonable, we purchesed it from Retracom here in Qld, and they will cut it to your specs even the door holes. It stays very cool and the dogs travel well in it.

We have a Nissan Pathfinder and have found it a great size. It is a seven seater but you can fold everything down to have a huge space in the back but even with only the two rear seats down there is a lot of room in the back. I have found it very economical but my previous car was a Triton dual cab that was very thirsty

Hi molasseslass I had a Boxer that had a Grade II cutaneous mast cell tumour removed from her side at the age of six. She did have another removed from the thin skin between bone and tendon on her back leg approx a year later but I did not have this tested. The first one was 12mm in diameter and the excised skin measured 60 x 40 mm. Bonnie lived to the age of 13 and never had a recurrence. Cheers Karen

Hi Banjotheboxer Congratulations on your new addition :rolleyes: Did the vet check a stool sample when the pup was there? Worms should show up if he has them. He could also check for coccidiosis which I believe can cause symptoms like you have described and can be treated. Good Luck

On Friday I had to make a very hard decision to put to sleep my first Boxer, Bonnie. She was born on 22/05/1994. We had her for a wonderful 13 1/2 years. She was the perfect playmate, pillow and walking frame for my children and a special friend for me. I'm sorry it took me so long to let you go I miss you my Bonnie girl

Hi Mooper My old Boxer girl (13 1/2 now) had a grade II mast cell tumour removed 10/03/2000 and another later that year. She is still with us and has never had any further treatment. I had a wonderful vet who was took good margins around the sites (5cm from memory). The report stated a pale tan mass 12mm in diameter was removed. The excision appeared complete and the tumour fell around the middle spectrum of malignancy. They gave a cautiously optimistic prognosis with periodical inspection of the surgical site due to the possibility of local recurrence.
