Hmmm I also would like to hear from anyone that has had a dog return to "stud" duties after having the implant, how long after the implant did you wait, was there any fertility problems?

Koda has, fingers crossed, grown out of his love affair with the vet ;) so keep the faith, they do start to grow a brain and settle down.....eventually! Yep Its Saturday! I'm looking forward to meeting you both in the flesh, even if he is bandaged and bruised..*LOL*

I really shouldn't laugh...but I can't help myself. He reminds me of koda who for a while there had us going to the vet once a fortnight due to his mishaps...nothing serious but enough to stress me out....So I can share your pain.. :D

When you go to the vet get them to check his patella (back legs knee joint in laymans terms), our SBT had luxating patella which he was very good at masking the pain from except after running around etc similar to what your describing. Good Luck and I hope everything turns out fine.... P.S are you coming to the Amstaff funday at castle hill on Sunday??

I only pay $90 for eagle pack and that includes delivery

You get nothing but respect from me, all dogs require training and even more so the owners half the time, keep up the good work with your SWF and may more SWF's owners follow in your footsteps to be responsible owners.

Hi We Love Our Ridgies, Have you shown the dog in question? was having smaller 'goolies' held against him by the judges? This is a most informative thread, definatley food for thought when it comes to the entire showdog who's equipment isn't needed at a particular time, or when run with a female

Ears can go a bit crazy when they are teething, my little one has good ears most of the time but some weeks/days we experience "crazy" ears and they get taped, so I can tell if we are having a toothy day/week. Aghhh the joys of puppy hood. *LOL* if he has had good ears up unitll now they should settle when he has finished teething. However it is always safest to tape during this period to protect against any permenant "crazy" ear issues.

My Dog Has A Red Rash On Her Underside
MellG replied to BlueDomino's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hey BlueDomino It me mell from the shows! your poor little girl. Have you mowed your lawns lately? Koda got a nasty looking rash after we mowed the lawns on the weekend, he was dragging his belly along the freshly cut grass and that night he had a similar looking rash, we kept in side and used a medicated wash and it settled, the grass has settled since the weekend and he is outside again with no worries. Also maybe give your breeder a call and see if there is any history of allergies in the bloodlines, sometimes these things can be genetic and they may be able to give you an insight. I hope she gets better soon!! I look forward to catching up at the next show. Cheers Mell -
Hi we have used Advocate, heart guard etc in the past... with our new pup we are using sentinal, which covers fleas, heart worm and intestinal worms, so far so good, its great having an all in one and not having 3 or more different pills and potions to remember and administer..

Hi Guys, I am picking up my new AMSTAFF baby this week, YAY!!, so the first meet might be tad too soon, but do you think the meet in July would be okay to introduce ourselves? I am fairly new too DOL, but have enjoyed the forum immensly and would love to meet other like minded doggy people. Just to give you some back ground info we will be conformation showing and agility training with Koda, and I can't wait to get him home, The breeder (in Taree) has been great and sent me photo's every week, so I have seen how he has grown...He's such a handsome little man and I can't wait to show him off to the world...... Sorry, gone off on a tangent there....can't help being a proud and impatient mum to be!
