Pmiller, sorry to hear about your cavalier.... Have you let the breeder know about the Patellas they also may have some suggestions as to what you can do... Firstly, keep the cav away from stairs... if required carry them up and down the stairs.. Dont let him jump on the lounge, or really jump on anything... Patellas can be a problem and they may need sergical intervention, but not always, if you are not heepy with what your vet told you then go see another one. Sometimes building up the muscles around the patella can correct it... I would try some hydrotherapy to strengthen the muscles. Good luck and keep us updated.

I would go the larger crate (the SMALL)... I really cant see a boxer fit in it though I would prefer a bit of room for the dogs to turn around in.

Amber11.... I use Animal House Mighty White and Brite.... Works well for my guys. They also get bathed once maybe twice a week, as being boys sometimes they do not have very good aim. I would be interesed in seeing photos of your girl

Some pups end up with bad breath due to teething... You could try and give you pup some things that they need to chew... maybe pig ears... that seems to get the teeth moving in my house

I wouldnt muck around with eyes.... I would agree with the others and definately a vet visit in warranted.

Cavaliers can do anything... They love agility, lure coursing and also flyball, they will do anything that you ask of them. Once the cavalier is full grown (approx 12 mths) they should be fine with a large dog, but before that they are just too little to be able to hold their own and will often get hurt from the rough play or just being annoying.
