chocolate glad the dogs are ok and hopefully they will leave the snakes alone now. We have an emergency place in Canberra that wont even look at the dog without the money up front... plus once they have the dog they wont let the owners go in to calm them down. A bitch was having complications during whelping and it was taken in for an emergency cesar... they would not look at the dog until the bill was paid and then as the bitch was in distress they would not let anyone calm her down as the money was not paid.... i think all up it cost of 2K and the end result was that the puppies did not make it... they are really not in it for the animals... and having a monopoly on the after hours care there really is no other options...

I probably know the answer but thought I would ask here... the dogs and I are going on holidays to a known tick infested area... currently I have a dog here with 8 stitches on his back, which will be removed at the end of next week. I want to apply advantix to the dogs two days before the stitches are removed to give it time to work before we go on holidays... Will this be ok? :D

Nadz... you little boy is confused and does not really know where he should sleep... you need to start now on what is allowed and not allowed for when they are adults, you also need consistancy He slept in the crate then you took him out and placed him on the bed.... If you want him to sleep in the crate you have to be tough and not take him out when he crys... can you place one of your t-shirts in the crate with him and place the crate near bed so he can see you.. this may settle him down be prepared for him to cry and try and ignore him as much as possible, when he awakes in the middle of the night, dont talk to him but take him outside to the toilet... when he goes praise him and then put him straight back in the crate... He is a smart little boy and will pick up that awake at night is for the toilet and not play time. At this stage I would not put him on the bed until he is readily and reliably sleeping in the crate... he will get there and then you can let him have cuddles on the bed.... good luck :D
