Cazzie have you thought of doing ear rings
-
you can try Laserlites yuk, its great stuff and the dogs hate the taste of it. I spray it on the show dogs ears to stop them chewing them Laserlites

I believe in NSW they will not accept a dog pending registration, if in doubt contact the show secretary. I know someone who entered a baby puppy as pending registration and in the end had to withdraw the dog (and yes they were from Victoria where is is common to enter a dog before the registration is returned). They received a not so nice phone call from the show secretary

HM these are not good for cavs, they tend to cut the top coats

as you have already been advised the Breed is not recognised in Australia therefore no one from this forum (a purebred forum) will be offering you a dog at stud. They can not be registered in Australia and you are just going to add to the ever increasing population of dogs that end up in the pounds :D with your cross bred dogs What Australia needs a 'Rare' breed that you are hoping to make some money out of, and really if you want the breed recognised in Australia import a male and approach the canine association in your state to find out how to introduce a new recognised breed. You 'rare' breed will only be producing cross bred mutts as you do not have a male and female of the same breed, so you cant really be selling them as 'rare' breeds :D I have found a link via Google Link to Rabbit Dachshund

Abigail you appear not to have been following what was happening, and are looking for an argument. Italmum AND the kids went to the breeders house to meet the puppy, so it appears homework has been done, it is just unfortunate that one of the kids were affected after having the puppy in the house for a few days.
-
what a shame italmum, but childrens health is more important. I understand Christian (Ollie) has been returned to the breeder and italmum and family are very upset as they were attached to him. Cavaliers do shed alot and having a child confirmed as allergic to pet hair it really is not an ideal situation for dog and child. I know when I got my first dog I couldnt breathe due to my asthma and spent alot of time with the doctor to manage the asthma with stronger medication, over time this has got better but I am still on strong medication but I could not live without my cavs I applaud italmum to return the dog to the breeder, whilst upsetting to the entire family the child can now breathe easy in his own home. Hopefully as the child ages the allergy subsides and in the future they can get the dog of their dreams (a cavalier). Good luck italmum ;)

Desexing the boys will not stop them from fighting. The older that the boys are desexed the more set in the ways they are. The only option I see is that the girls must be removed from the boys, it is afer all the boys home and the girls are new to their territory. Not really fair that the boys should be segregated when they are only being boys. This is why most breeders do not have entire boys and girls together not really worth the stress and injuries to all parties. Get some very strong disinfectant and spray everywhere where the girls have been. The smell will be everywhere and once there it is very hard to get rid of. Good luck

Hi I was wondering if anyone has a copy of a stud agreement that I can get a copy of. I have someone interested in using one of my boys and would like to document the event. Thank you

Finding the right puppy is a long drawn out process and you could be awaiting a long time. I know with my last one it took me over 12 months to find him. The right puppy/dog is out there just dont jump in with the first one that you find. Contact breeders outside your state as most will ship to you at your expense. Good luck with your search, PM me if you require any help locating breeders

thank you

I know that this is a long shot but I need to have one of my dogs tested to see if he is still viable (he is currently 9 years old) My vet who can do the collection and testing requires a teaser bitch to make the job a little bit easier. Does anyone have a bitch in season that I can borrow for an hour or so Any help/ideas most greatful

She is looking lovely Dont worry about her being all legs at the moment she will grow into her legs Cavaliers at around 7mths turn all legs then as they get older the body fills out and the legs look in proportion with the rest of them.

I will be there with a wet cavalier

Goodluck tomorrow. the results came back as benign, so it was a party in the house that night. We just have to keep an eye on him so that no more appear. He will be 9 next month ;) -
