  1. I have Paint Shop Pro. You should be able to download a trial version of either PSP or Photoshop. www.corel.com should get you to PSP, I think Photoshop is Adobe? Not sure LOL

    Kinked Tail

I do run my hand down the length of the tails when I judge.....but Im sure a LOT dont. In my main breeds kinks are desirable, so I've never had to worry!
  3. My Keeshonds wont use shelter, they just hang out in the rain, so if its raining in the morning they have to be locked away after a toilet run. If it rains unexpectedly when I am not home, well they get wet.
  4. Eye Envy is apparently very good stuff to keep staining at bay.
  5. I used to clip a pair of Standards, about 3 times a year I guess, and we charged $55 per dog. They didnt have anything special done, but kept the Schnauzer look IF possible (IE no huge matts in the legs)
  6. Yep had mine fixed at the local spa shop too......
  7. Amstaff puppies are STUBBORN mules.......they need to learn the rules very early and very quickly. Many may not agree with my methods, but when all our Amstaffs first came home I was very tough on the crying at night thing, it only took two nights and they were over it. As for the toileting, they are babies and I would never expect a baby at that age to have much bladder control. I try to paper train them, so they at least go on newspaper, and gradually you move that outside and then take it away altogether.
  8. Mine all have to have water overnight, or they are thirsty in the morning.
  9. Vaseline, Bepanthen, even a good lip balm will work. You could even try Paw Paw ointment. SpringGirl - that nose reminds me of a disease I cant put a name to right now - has the vet investigated?
  10. I have been using both for about 18 months - 2 years now. I have no preference of one over the other, I use both, just alternate between them. Its one of the few foods that all of my dogs LOVE and will eat every meal. I had real problems with my dogs going off a brand of food after a few days. And with a large number of dogs buying Premium foods for them all is prohibitive. So this is a great compromise. The dogs do well on it, I have no complaints, except that one of the old boys got fat, but he has always had that tendency, and now that he eats every day, well he piled the weight on a bit. My two puppies are showing signs on it not agreeing with them, so I have just the last few days switched them to a premium food to see if there is a change, as I am not sure if its their food or something else causing the problem. But anyway the moral here is my dogs LOVE it and do well on it, and I have no reason to change!
  11. You know years ago, my heart dog and I would share a Garlic Beef once a week - I would eat 98% of the meat out, and leave her the juices and the ONION and she would scoff that down. She once became quite anemic but got over that, otherwise it never affected her that I knew of.
  12. Well my dogs occasionally get a tin of cat food mixed with their dinner. They have not died from it yet
  13. If they are having dry food, can you give it to them in a buster cube or something like that, that they can only get a few pieces from at a time? I wonder if there is some other reason for the food not going down properly - did the vet look down their throats?
  14. I saw some for Mobile phones at the 3 shop a few weeks back, I imagine you could trim them to fit your camera screen?
  15. I have heard that this is doing the rounds in Sydney. I have not had it touch wood, but my friends had it go through their dogs, but said the symptoms only lasted 3 days. Their vet told them it was just the change in the weather, and NOT kennel cough.

    Poo Everywhere

I have one of those too! He walks along as he poos and leaves a trail - its a pain when doing poo patrol because you have to pick a long trail rather than a little pile.
  17. Been watching a few airedales in the ring, and I think it may just be a stage in their growth? Best thing to keep coat, is to make sure its always clean - dirty hair breaks. So never brush it when it is dirty.
  18. Peter is a miracle worker, if you ask me
  19. Laser Lites "Silk" is brilliant for adding drape to coats.
  20. I am just checking if the details I have are current - I have not been to see Peter in a while. Will post them up shortly! Not sure what you mean by more than just manipulation? Peter is a miracle worker - he got one of my bitches who I found at home paralyzsed, and that the vets could not help, back up and walking.
  21. I used to charge $55 for a clip and a bath for a small dog.
  22. Peter Schofield is my first choice, but if you want a vet, I believe Blair at Quakers Hill Vet is good too.
  23. We've only ever done once a day for the adults.
  24. The more you bottle feed, the less her milk supply will increase, so do so only as a last resort. My last litter had to be bottle fed, mum had no milk. I would have to force them a little to start, and those who would not take the bottle got tube fed.
  25. I went through the instructors course many years ago and it was most comprehensive!
