Acupuncture might work, worth a try. Good luck, nothing worse than a sore back. I know all too well!

It can cause a lot of long term issues......I Googled these for you. http://www.avma.org/onlnews/javma/apr05/050415c.asp http://www.oes.org/page1/proheart.html http://concernedvet.netfirms.com/letter.html http://www.all-creatures.org/aip/nl-20040531-pro.html

I would never use the heartworm injections, but thats me. Just worm her with something like Drontal, every 3 months. Simple. Any of the all wormers from the supermarket will work.

Quite possibly the pain made him snap. General GP vets are not much use in these situations. You are best to see a muscle manipulator, I think, than a full on chiro. I find Chiro's are quite rough, where as the muscle manipulators are gentler. Just go in prepared. Take a muzzle if you feel better, but if his spine is that much out of alignment that you can see it, he really needs a manipulation of some kind. Also try giving him 1/4 of an aspirin before you go, so it takes the edge off his pain.

Here's a compromise, get them done at 5 months. You should avoid that first season, but they are a bit older. And yes they will bounce back like they never even had surgery.
-
I think if it is easier for you then do it. Desexed dogs sometimes seem to be bigger than those who are not, so I would not be at all worried about that part, especially if she is a lean puppy.

Dogs I am showing get bathed every week, Lhasa's twice a week. I think its rubbish that you can wash them too much, personally.

What Do You Think Of Colouring /dying Dogs
Rysup replied to roxyporsha's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I had to vote that I dont like it but dont think its cruel, when really I dont care either way. I dont dislike or like it really. But if you want to dye your dogs, go for your life. -
Ah thanks laffi. Not sure I could afford to feed 11 dogs on any of those, but they look nice
-
I didnt think there was any grain free dry food? I use a variety of brands. Most of the dogs get Optimum &/or Advance. I have one dog who can only eat Coprice, anything else gives him the runs. I have also used Great Barko very successfully too. I don't think it really matters so long as they eat it and you are happy to feed it.
-
Yeah I wouldnt do a full clip.......anyway, just regular combing should keep them out once you get them out. Good luck!
-
Personally if he is just a pet and not a show dog, I would just give his trousers a nice haircut. By the time he has the itching thing out of his system, it will have grown back.
-
Does it hurt him when you play with the toes?
-
LOL Kirty, just DONT OPEN YOUR MOUTH!!!!
-
I dont condition my dogs, they dont need it. I find a good blow out with a force dryer does wonders for a shedding coat of any type. OH blow dries the Amstaffs regularly.
-
It *should* go back, but if not you can tape it in place and train it to stay down.

Has he been wormed recently? My puppies get sloppy if I miss their worming date. I have just FINALLY cured one of my dogs from sloppy poos, he is 11 months old! Seems he must have allergies to most foods, finally Coprice has seen him firm right up! Now we just have to get the stains out of his trousers!

Well that just makes mine look like the amatuer I am LOL I dont know the EXIF except I used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 and the lens is the equivalent of a 35mm 35-420. I only cropped, except the shoes, which I removed the coat hanger I used to hang them on. And one extra to show my human model who just would not cooperate!!

ok now I am confused, I found another thread, but the same, that one answered my question LOL

We have alopecia X in Keeshonds, and desexing is the only known cure. I am not sure about Colour Dilution though. I am not sure there is much you can do to help or stop it. Maybe see how it goes once he has his op.
-
Is he desexed? I was reading an article about this in Poms the other day.

OK I am a bit of a camera bimbo, so what is EXIF data? I just aim and shoot, well sometimes I will focus too LOL
