I dont wait for mum either. My bitches are notoriously pathetic when it comes to getting their babies out of the sacks.

Hmm wouldnt happen to be Hillsong would it........

I am really happy with how we are going with the Artemis, to the point I have joined the breeders program, and have moved a few other of my dogs on to it. The dogs love it, their condition is improving each week, and I dont have anyone with left overs in the morning. The breeders program, you have to buy 2 bags at a time, and for me there is a $15 postage fee, but that is fine by me because you get 18kg bags for less than I could buy 13kg bags online.

I too know which breeder you were referring to. Not sure I would go down that road. A lot of BB breeders also dabble in FB, or vice versa so dont be surprised to find a lot have both breeds. I have 3 breeds, but I "breed" one, dabble in breeding in the other, and own the third with no plans to ever breed. So it is not always as it seems.

On Ozshow it was suggested you email Anne Raymond directly, however I dont know her email addy off hand.

Wool wash & #1 All Systems Whitening & Brightening

Methylated Spirits. I used to use it all the time in my dog grooming, it cleans and dries really well.

Looks Pembroke to me. Just dont see Cardigan at all. But hey......anything is possible.

I've shown a bitch at 5 1/2 weeks. Coated breed so you could not see it. I'm not normally showing them once I decide to breed with them, so it doesnt happen much.

They sound reasonable.

I think I would have stood between my dog and the lady, and told her to hit me, so then I would have cause to defend myself. There are a lot of crazy people in this world. Glad you were both ok though!

I think as SBT said, they would have the eat a rat/mouse who had JUST eaten the bait themselves. My dogs have eaten dead rats they have found, after I poisoned them, and I've not lost a dog to it. I wont let them eat them if I can, but then my dogs are not hunters, and it has to be on deaths door before they can catch it. But once they are dead, its like grease lightening to see who can eat them the quickest.

Where do you buy the towbar attachments? I have a wagon, but I can only fit one trolley and the dogs at the moment (as son takes up the back seat so no options there) I would like to be able to take two trolleys, but have not found where to buy one.

It's only been law in NSW up until recently. So I guess breeders in other states are a bit slow to catch up?

I agree with Staffyluv re the barking. I have a 13 year old here who went deaf about 2 years ago. She was never a barker before, but now she barks quite a lot. She is no where near senile or dementia, has all her faculties.

I have rehomed a 10 year old. You CAN find the right home, many of the older generation are happy to give an oldie a couple of good years. All you can do is try, be upfront about his needs etc. Good luck!

I have used Rooster Booster quite well with the dogs. Its organic, so dont see that it would hurt the dogs.

Aside from a distinct lack of barges in Australia, I have no doubt about my Kees foghorn capabilities. They are very sure on their feet, can live in confined spaces easily and are a great watch dog, combined with a family pet. The Lhasa's are very much still able to raise the alarm of intruders. Just ask my neighbours

Ive got the Elkhound and the Chow Chow from that lot.

I have used it. Easy, much cheaper, never had any problems with it. I get it from Elders but any stock type place should be able to get it for you. We would get a group together and buy a litre or sometimes 5 litres. Depending on how many people wanted some.

I dont let my adults interact with puppies until they are vaccinated at the earliest.

I use it more as a time saving device rather than miracle worker. When you have a large litter you want to supplement or a litter to hand raise, time is always precious, and its so much faster to tube feed. I heat mine up in a cup of hot water.
-
I am happy to tube feed and hand raised my last litter doing so. Their mother had toxic milk, and not much milk either, and if I had not tube fed them then they all would have died. The toxic milk made them sick for a time. It is so quick and easy. My vet taught me that you put the tube down, if its in the lungs, when you draw back on the syringe you will get air. If you are in the stomach, you wont get air (maybe liquid but def no air). Works for me!

Appointments Or Walk-in At Vets...
Rysup replied to stormie's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Appointments hands down. One of the vets I like to use is a walk-in only and I HATE it. HATE having to sometimes sit around for hours (yes I have done). I much prefer to make a time, and then you know you only have to wait a little bit. -
Why Do Ethical Breeders Feel Bad About Making Money?
Rysup replied to Ashanali's topic in Breeders Community
I would never feel guilty if I made a profit from breeding. But sadly I dont! Maybe one day.
