Afraid I agree with SBT123. The less chemicals the better.

I LOVE my 05 Holden Adventra. LOVE IT. Just great for the dogs AND enough room for the family too. I can pop the rear window for ventilation when we stop without leaving the whole back up. Its just awesome and if it ever dies I will be distraught as they no longer make them.

I have two soft crates that I take my dogs to shows in. (Plus a trolley). I unload everything I need, then lastly take the dogs out of the soft crates, on to leads and with one had I can fold down the soft crates and I can carry them both, or I put them on top of all the trolley. But I can fold them up while holding onto dogs. If you have a tow bar you can attach the dogs leads to that. Or put them on the back seat while you do it?

Thanks Stormie. A little more than I wanted to spend. Thanks kamuzz, I will give those a call on Tuesday, also going to try Quakers Hills too.

Where is stormie's clinic? I got prices from Vineyard ($208 for under 15kgs), and North Richmond ($245-265) and Sydney Animal Hospital ($310). Will do more ringing on Tuesday. I dont qualify for any sort of assistance or discount unfortunately.

Yes I had friends who's dog reacted very badly to a spot on, so that the skin had to be cut out, and the hole stitched up. This was a show dog too. Same thing happened with the girl I have who reacted to the spot-on she hadn't done previously but I won't use it on her again just in case!

I had never had a problem with it before this either. But it scared me enough not to use it on small dogs again. I would still use it on a bigger breed though. This little girl is all of 3kgs.

Just a warning - I used Fido's Fre-Itch on one of my Lhasa Apso bitches. She promptly collapsed and stopped breathing. I was able to resuscitate her, but it was soooo very scary. I will not use this product again. She has since been safely treated with Advantage. Frontline does NOT work here in Sydney, and I have known that for at least 7 years.

I am always careful to allow every dog to set up when they first come into my ring. They all pay the same money so deserve the same consideration.

Hoping some of you may be able to help me. I have to get a bitch desexed next week. I have done a quick run around of the vets I use, and the variation in costs is astounding to be honest! So can anyone tell me where might be the best place to go for desexing? Dont mind travelling a bit. I am a bit cash poor at the moment, so unfortunately I do need to try and find the cheapest place. TIA

He has made me two trolleys so far, but none are purple LOL You would really have to get the parts of the trolley made up, then take them to the powder coaters before assembling it completely. Would be tricky but I have no doubt it can be done. Because we only buy the material at retail prices, it worked out about $400 to make a good, strong trolley for ourselves. If he ever wanted to do it as a job, we would have to source wholesale materials to be able to sell them at a reasonable price. But I do love my home made trolleys! I have one with the bars closer together for puppies, and they are both so strong and sturdy.

If you want to colour aluminium, you have to get it powder coated. Paint will just flake off after a while. My OH is an aluminium fabricator.

The mother was no woman either, she was a child herself. And I agree, you just would not sleep through such an event......I wonder though if the baby was not dead before the dog bit it?? Who knows.

Sorry I can't, I dont use them. I *used* to run a mobile salon in the area but I no longer have the business. What did you want done, and is it mobile or a salon you want?

That nose will fill in. I dont take deposits anymore. Saves having to give them back!

I've had my indoor runs made and installed by Goldstein. Our outdoor runs we made ourselves. It was not that hard and I found all the "how too" info on the net. We spent about $3000 on 4 indoor runs (in our garage) 10 years ago. The are approximately 3m x 3m, with one gate in each and a hallway down one side, and another gate out through the garage door. Then we spent about the same on the outdoor runs just in the last year or so. We have 4 runs, 2 are approx 4m x 10m, one is 10 x 10 and one is 5 x 10 as a rough guide. I have not actually measured them! Each run has one gate out to the main yard, the 10 x 10 run has two gates, one each end. And then most of the runs have a gate into the next run. If you go the DIY route, make sure to find out the standard gate size. We did not, and had to have our gates custom made which added to the costs.

I've just got some fertility drops from a herbalist to try on my girls. Will report back with the results when Ive used it.

Please take care if you administer your own oxytocin. If there is a blockage you can cause MAJOR damage to your bitch if you give her this. It's not something to be dished out willy nilly.

Its only comes off with the help of a dog It stays put on its own accord. I can see if we still have the glue left, but as long as its one suitable for the rubber/plastic that its made out of, you should be ok. Will come back later if I can find the glue pot. Though I know once we used the pot, and another time some sort of silicone as OH used his silicone gun to put that down. The pot worked better though, as you could get a nice even layer and it wasnt lumpy, where as the silicone gun made little lumps that were a bugger to smooth out. We glued it all down, and then put a set of encyclopaedias on top to ensure it stuck flat. Left it a day or two to dry under the books.

I have blue, red, black and grey - the two shops stock different colours, so if you want a particular colour you may need to try both stores.

They sell the pyramid matting at Bunnings and Clark Rubber. We got a glue that you spread on with a scrapper type thing. Ask when you buy it, they will tell you what glue to use.
