Are the odour blocks on the website? I must be missing them. Sounds like something I am going to have to try. I gather we have to go through OdourGo and not Seabouy?

Ready To Welcome A Puppy Into The Home Too!

I think the Sydney Sammie people are very friendly and approachable, I am sure we can track a few down for you to meet! -
You are not wrong! It is very hard! I read labels very carefully these days. The L & R Nutro uses Chicken Fat. But it cannot be a huge amount, he seems to tolerate it quite well. Vast majority of foods contain chicken.
-
I am also an advocate of Nutro. My boy has allergies and it has taken me a LONG time to find something that works for him. I had him on Artemis for 3 or 4 months and it was not working and he got scarily thin, his coat condition was poor. I got given a small bag of Nutro Lamb & Rice, and tried him on that and there was a noticeable change just from that 3kg bag. Since I have switched him over he is a new dog, and is finally starting to regain some of his lost weight. I have since worked out that he is allergic to chicken, as well as wheat.

He has a lovely face & smile, but yeah I dont go for short blokes either! LOL

I suffer from Plantar Faciitis at times, so I need excellent support. I bought a black pair of Brooks sneakers. I think they were walking shoes or something. They are actually a mans shoes because my feet are an odd size. They look fine, just a black lace up leather shoe, but they are SOOOOO comfy and I can wear them all day without a twinge from my feet. Best $200 I have ever spent on shoes. I tell you though that I nearly keeled over when I saw the price tag in the shop. But when you have odd feet, your choices can be limiting.

Yoghurt mashed into Milk Arrowroot biscuits works a treat for the runs.

Well I will be sitting around ring 7, which is beside the undercover ring. There wont be many different Keesie people so I should not be too hard to track down. And 99% of people there know me, so just ask :D -

I find Keesies are very much wanting to be with you. They are very people oriented. BUT here its ME, much like Jedi wants Nik. It is me they want. They are not interested in OH or Toby. Just me. My sister is coming to dog sit next month when I go to Vic to judge, and I just hope they are good for her! I lay there half last night worrying about it! LOL -
Regarding Breed Size And Coat Type.
Rysup replied to Esky the husky's topic in General Dog Discussion
Yep. Sure is! I am sure though that way back when, they used to allow some size interbreeding, but not now, its closed books. If one size was to fall into disrepair, they may open the books up again and allow interbreeding then. -
My last litter failed to gain weight for their first 10 days and after working with the vet and getting no where, I took them off their mum and tube fed them with Wambaroo. I am 99% sure mums milk was toxic. I started them on solids as soon as their eyes were open. They are now 2 1/2 and going great. I would start on solids and tube feed as well, see how it goes.

Regarding Breed Size And Coat Type.
Rysup replied to Esky the husky's topic in General Dog Discussion
It varies between breeds. Some size or coat variations can be intermated, some cannot. Sometimes its allowed for a period of time, maybe when numbers are getting low. Poodles cannot be interbred. Each size is its own breed. Same for German Sptiz (Mittel) & (Klein). But Collie (Rough) & (Smooth) can cross over I believe. Chihuahua's can interbreed as well, and still be registered as their respective coat type. -
My eldest are a 14 1/2 year old Lhasa Apso. Andre is blind, partially deaf, but still enjoys pottering around the yard peeing on everything. Lhasa's can be very long lived - I know of a few who had to be PTS around 24-25 years old. And Holly is a 13 year old Keeshond. She is as deaf as a post and had learnt to follow me when I wave like a lunatic!

I can remember spending hours and hours doing these two Sammies. My lord they wore me out! But I think they had them groomed about once a year. It showed. I will leave my Kees (that are retired) about 4 months between bath & grooms. I just did Brie the other day, she took me about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish, and she wont need to be done again until the end of Winter. -

I would deduce that an adult male Lappie such as Magnus, would take me no longer than it takes me to do Harry. Entire bitches ARE much easier. Desexed dogs or bitches are much harder, but again, I think this would be the same with all 3 breeds? Desexing changes the coat somewhat. Samoyeds have a much thicker coat than your average Keeshond. Though I know a couple of Kees who also have very thick coats, but they are not that common. That is just my experience/opinion though! -

I think a Kees coat is EASY to groom. But I have also had fully coated Lhasa Apsos. Must say from my grooming days I found the Samoyeds I groomed much more work, but maybe they were not groomed as often as they should be. And a Kees should be 17-18. 22 inches is toooooo big! -

Who's Harry? You are missing out if you have not met Harry! This is Harry Keeshonds are really quite healthy. PHPT will soon be a thing of the past for responsible breeders now we have a test. Epilepsy is not that common, but it does exist and until a test comes about we all get around in the dark. There is no test available. Skin issues are only in some lines. Everything else Nik mentioned are pretty rare. Well in a well bred dog. BYB dogs certainly seem to cope more problems. -
Make sure you also get the correct size. We have a Weatherbeeta for our Amstaff and it is nice and snug on him and does not move.

I'd just get her desexed.
