Like most things there is a time and a place and sadly the General Public bringing their dogs to a dog show isn't. We have had puppy buyers visit us at shows but we ensure that their puppy/dog is well behaved and advise the owners if it isn't. Most tassie shows are held outdoors so most exhibitors have gazebos and dogs are usually inside of the gazebos so usually their isn't much of a problem of dogs walking up to the crates to have a go.

I can highly recommend Advance Motel on Parfitt Rd (old Hume Hwy). The hosts Michael and Tiffany are more than welcoming. Close to city centre, pet friendly room and plenty of room to walk dogs.

We are the same ;)

Um Isnt Showing A Desexed Bitch Wrong?
Weizone replied to Missymoo's topic in General Dog Discussion
Exactly how do you prove it? Yes it is ethically wrong, but remember some show people have no ethics at all. -
some exhibitors are just precious about this sort of thing.

I am sure they will accept your entry Shaar, I posted my yesterday, and with all the public holidays i am sure as with most clubs they would welcome more entries. I would just give them a call either tomorrow or Wednesday and advise them that you are sending your entry in. -

Yes same as area as the Royal and you can use the benches or if you can find a suitable place outside you can as well. -
We have the same deal between us we have 4 or 5 gazebos we help each other set up and pack up.

Well we all have differing opinions on this topic. But I have known of breeders/exhibitors whelping bitches at shows and on the way to shows, once upon a time they did it on a regular basis, because they couldn't miss a show But others go to the other extreme, can't do this can't do that, won't let said people come here while we have puppies, hello parvo is also air born virus as well. these people who claim this and that should perhaps respect others choices and look very carefully at their own practices.

We have our GSDs and Weims on this food and it is excellent, they have great coats and their condition is great.

I Love going to shows to exhibit our wonderful dog and associate and socialise with great people. We love the roadtrips and the laughs we have together win or lose. Working weeks seem to go a lot quicker when there is a dog show to look forward to.

Special thanks must go to whoever the website master was for getting the results and photos up in a timely manner.

Newcastle Show And No Show Equipment Stalls
Weizone replied to Darkrai's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sadly the best place to purchase things is online. I understand sometimes you need those last minute things but in Tassie it is the norm. No vendors at northern shows, only for the launceston Royal. So we have to wait for southern shows. We have been lucky that an exhibitor is going out on her own and getting things we made need, but is only in the early stages of setting the business up. -
Congratulations Ange on Max's title!!!!

Pssssssssst, Southern Taswegians, In Here...
Weizone replied to rajacadoo's topic in General Dog Discussion
David is great with the dogs and has so much knowledge. Whilst not located in the south of the state it is worthwhile the journey up to have your dogs checked by him as I know many southern dog exhibitor who do.
